Also, this deck is just begging for a Gaea's Cradle . The day I obtain one will be glorious. GLORIOUS.

I would suggest pulling out the Master of the Wild and switch for Skyshroud Poacher, the Poacher gives you any elf in play for a low cost. Also put Seeker of Skybreak in to do two Poacher searches each turn...It gets nasty after a while.

But...Wolves! I just added Master of the Wild Hunt so I want to see how he plays in this deck - I thought the doubling of wolf tokens could make for some serious douche-baggery. Although I've brought the elf count down a notch in this deck, I do like that nasty plan ArgArgBinks. Serious food for thought, cheers.

Citanul Hierophants and Storm Herd could work well in this deck. This kinda reminds me of my token EDH Rith's Bonfire Bash Featuring DJ Ajani.

Oh, also Garruk, Primal Hunter might work better as a token engine than Garruk Wildspeaker

Nice one FizzatzHaderach, thanks. Although Storm Herd is a hilarious card, I've wrestled as to whether or not I should include it. The 10 CC is steep and by that point, I'd like to be using Rhys' ability to have a mighty token army in place already. Still, I should experiment with it!
I really like the look of Citanul Hierophants , that would be a great fit here. It's a mana intensive deck and sometimes it struggles to gain presence early - I think that card may serve me well. That's also the reason I'm running Garruk Wildspeaker instead of Garruk, Primal Hunter ...That said, his ultimate ability would be bonkers. Will definitely test him out.

I have a Rhys the Redeemed deck myself. i play it both local with my playgroup and in MTGO, where i got a version of it. That being said, i'd like to point some cards that i've tried for many matches.
Asceticism seems like an good card. But it easy to be dealt with. Just need to destroy the enchant then play a board swipe... and with Damnation and Wrath of God, asceticism is mostly useless and draw a lot of hate . And this card is usefull only in the situation that you already have it in battlefield... only to prevent other players from sweeping you.
Instead i use instants to give that surprise element. Rootborn Defenses and Fresh Meat. The first one doesn't need any presentation. The second one is beast... it can be used even in the end turn phase...

Hmmm...I can absolutely see the value of both cards in here Wildsong. I've thought of adding Rootborn Defenses for a while but Fresh Meat is a very sneaky surprise that I hadn't considered.
I hear what you're saying regarding Asceticism but I would still have a hard time cutting it. Couple it with Privileged Position and/or Sterling Grove & disenchanting it is easier said than done. Sure, it doesn't protect from a wipe but it answers a bunch of other spot removal threats, not to mention being able to regenerate a few key players if need be.
Food for thought, thank you!

You gotta point. I still don't think that Asceticism is nacessary. It's not an AWESOME card but it is solid.
I'd Like to give you a sugestion that made me win games like hell.
Umbral Mantle + Priest of Titania or Elvish Archdruid or Wirewood Channeler + Rhys the Redeemed
or Staff of Domination instead of umbral mantle. It goes infinite in the blink of an eye. Infinite tokens, Infinite Life, Infinite Draw.
And when you play for infinite mana you can just play Genesis Wave, draw you deck entirely and put it into the Battlefield. Be ready to put an a haste anthem like Concordant Crossroads cuz the blue player's with Cyclonic Rift won't be very happy.
November 22, 2014 8:39 a.m.
BTW i hate Cyclonic Rift on any format... there is no card that could hate more. Stupid unilateral removal, that makes opponents fall behind... far behind.
They have extra turns, multiple win con, tons of draw mechanics, a stupid "Not my board" sweeper card. I'm not against any other card or win con they play... but this MF stupid card.

Some very interesting suggestions Wildsong, cheers. I love Genesis Wave but also felt that my deck is a little heavy on the sorcery/instant side for it. Regarding Concordant Crossroads, I know it's a great card/effect but I've always been torn as to whether or not to run it in any deck. I really don't like the fact that it hastes up my opponents' creatures as well.
Big lols on your Cyclonic Rift feels, I know your pain. It's an auto-include in every blue deck (guilty as charged here) and I don't think it's leaving the format any time soon, seeing as it got the reprint treatment in the C14 blue deck.

You needn't. You're right, I should find a place for clamp in here. Thanks KillthatBUG.
February 21, 2015 3:15 a.m.
Yes. Yes I do. Has it caused token havoc in your deck?
April 17, 2015 12:22 a.m.
Yes it did. Instant impact.
The problem with token decks is that they are predictable. Secure the Wastes is just one of those cards that your opponent never expect that you have in hand. It can turn the odds of the match to your favor.
Love to play this after a Cyclonic Rift. I was hoping for a long time for a card that can help to recover from a Rift.
April 21, 2015 2:31 p.m.
Ha! I had forgotten about your hate for Cyclonic Rift. I need to think of what to replace...I could make a solid argument for every card choice in here right now.

You should add Requiem Angel for board wipes, and you definitely need Eidolon of Blossoms and Harmonize for draw power.

Good ideas jordansgoldowl, thank you. I'll have to consider what to swap out so that I can try those suggestions.

Have you considered Joraga Treespeaker or Joraga Warcaller?
May 31, 2015 8:56 p.m.
Yes! I actually had both of them in here back when I was going for more of an elf theme. Both are solid.
June 1, 2015 12:21 a.m.
I feel they are probably both known but worth mentioning but earth craft + squirrels nest or night guard + presence of gond if you want an infinite combo. Honestly the most satisfying win I've had with my rhys deck was a swarm of squirrels, also sorry forgot how to link cards.
July 14, 2015 4:05 a.m.
Ah, the beloved Earthcraft + Squirrel Nest combo. A very solid suggestion Faybian, thank you. I tend to shy away from infinite combos due to the funsies, casual nature of my core playgroup, but infinite squirrels...How could anyone get humpty about that.
July 15, 2015 2:28 p.m.
Yeah, I generally feel the same way, if I have infinite combos I don't run tutors and the other way around. Although I am attempting to push my rhys deck to be more competitive now. Fungal Sprouting, parallel evolution, and deploy the front are all nice ways to sneak in a second token double in a turn. Martial Coup is my go to board wipe for rhys.

Good call Tribe. I don't currently own one but yeah, Avacyn, Angel of Hope would be a sweet addition. Thanks!
