Riku of Delightful Possibilities

Commander / EDH Combo RUG (Temur)

Genswift

The comboRiku EDH deck. The goal of this deck is to overwhelm opponents with enter the battlefield effects. Alternate wincons such as Rite of Replication and Craterhoof Behemoth (the classic) are there in case there are no critical combo pieces in the deck left or for random stupid or clutch plays.

Ramp is a priority in this deck as most winconditions cost a minimum of 7 mana. Card draw is also critical, as you will usually not have a hand by turn 5 without an engine to support yourself like Rhystic Study or Consecrated Sphinx

there are ways to protect your combo in the form or removal, a counterspell suite of Counterflux & Voidslime and the ever clutch Swiftfoot Boots.

This deck seeks to play a political game, drawing little attention and ramping out until the time to strike arises. Once you are safe, and their threats are nil, its time to go off for the combo kill! "Wha?!?! I'm a poet, and didn't know it!"

1)Palinchron + Deadeye Navigator/Riku of Two Reflections/Panharmonicon/Phantasmal Image/Mana Reflection/Zendikar Resurgent -all of these generate infinite mana, which can then be used for infinite palinchron tokens with Riku

2)Avenger of Zendikar + Purphoros, God of the Forge -make use of all the lands you pulled out of the deck with ramp to instantly kill the table, best used with Parallel Lives and or Panharmonicon

3)Deceiver Exarch + Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker -I make infinite 1/4 dudes for 8 mana... #winning

1)Mana Reflection -doubles mana so I can do big things quickly, combos with Palinchron and baits out removal/counterspells

2)Zendikar Resurgent -"doubles" mana and allows me to draw cards when comboing with Palinchron as well as when casting any creature

3)Panharmonicon -doubles ETB effects, combos with Palinchron, gives me double triggers on Riku so I can make two tokens on any given creature cast, provided I have the mana

4)Warstorm Surge -instant kill through infinite blockers/Blind Obedience/Fog effects; removal on many creatures

5)Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir -protects the combo, gives creatures flash, baits out removal or counterspells

6)Seedborn Muse -always have mana open for responses, gets around Winter Orb, or Static Orb

7) Parallel Lives -classic double tokens, allows me to tap down everyone's permanents with Deceiver Exarch and Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker

1)Tooth and Nail -almost an auto win if unanswered

2)Worldly Tutor -get any creature you need when you need it

3)Mystical Tutor -get any instant or sorcery you need, usually ramp or Tooth and Nail

4)Green Sun's Zenith -ramps on turn one, or grabs any green creature in the deck

5)Fierce Empath -grabs a combo creature or support creature straight to hand, and gives a blocker

I am always looking for ways to improve this deck so feel free to leave constructive comments and suggestions!

Updates Add

Due to issues with lengthy old updates and revision errors, I have moved the decklist to this new page. I am trying to clean up my deck pages and am considering doing this with other decks as well, but for now, enjoy the cleaner page!
