Hey you! Yeah, you! Ever wish you could turn your extra lands into sweet, delicious cards? Well now, with the power of Gitrog, you too can draw to your heart's content at the low low price of putting lands into your graveyard!

Step 1: Play multiple lands a turn

It's easy to accelerate with Exploration-style effects aplenty. Those lands will be flying out of your hand (or graveyard!) lickety-split, with fetch lands aplenty for all your shuffling needs. And once they've all been played, you're ready for the next step!

Step 2: Put lands in the graveyard for fun and/or profit

Now your board is brimming with basics and your 'yard is full of fresh fetches. But what can you do to take advantage of this? Oh, that's easy! All it takes are two simple ingredients: (1) your Commander and (2) a land-sac outlet! Each time you toss one of your extra lands into the grave, the Gitrog will dig you deeper into your deck so that you can find whatever cards you need for the situation. Even milling or discarding those lands will do! As long as you can establish an engine to churn through your deck, the cards will start flowing like a river. A river that the Gitrog lives in. Because he's a frog. And they're amphibious. ON TO THE NEXT STEP!

Step 3: Winning the Game

So your engine is set up. What cards do you need to find to win? Well, there are actually several routes you can take for victory with this deck. Sacrifice all your lands to Squandered Resources and get tons of mana, then unleash a giant Death Cloud to kill 'em all at once! Cast a huge Splendid Reclamation with any number of powerful landfall cards on the board, such as Avenger of Zendikar or Retreat to Hagra. Utilize Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord to sacrifice swoll creatures like Lord of Extinction and dome your opponents. Or just amass a huge army of tokens via landfall and land-sac, then unleash ol' Stompy (Craterhoof Behemoth)! The choice is up to you!

So that's your primer on The Gitrog Monster. Now, get out there and show them what you're made of, champ!
