Types of Cards

Tutors

Worldly Tutor: Excellent synergy with Mayael. I can tutor up a fatty and then simply play it with her ability. Or it's still just a traditional tutor.

Chord of Calling: Great for late-game or early game tutoring something up cheaply. Putting something into play is not to be scoffed at.

Eladamri's Call: Simple, cheap tutor. 'nuff said.

Congregation at Dawn: Like Wordly Tutor, this provides a lot of synergy with Mayael. I can either just put one of my fatties on and use her ability. Or I can put a cheap creature on top, draw, then play it with her ability.

Tooth and Nail: Probably the tutor with the most impact. It can be used early for either effect and still have great value, but being able to search and then play those creatures significantly more amazing.

Green Sun's Zenith: Just a nice tutor, usually used for a cheap creature in the early game.

Primal Command: Tutor + other value. Being able to shuffle my graveyard back in is significant.

Hibernation's End: This card is great because it's just advantage. Although I won't be getting as many significant things when it comes out, later it can have a huge impact on my draws.

Fauna Shaman: Discard a fatty, find a fatty. Discard a Birds of Paradise, find a Godsire.

Planar Portal: Allows me to not only look for my creatures, but also for any other card that might suit my purpose.

Survival of the Fittest: This is Fauna Shaman's wise grandfather who is almost always better.

Ramp

Explore: Clears my hand up from lands or simply gives me a draw.

Rampant Growth: Classic ramp.

Cultivate: Classic ramp + bonus.

Crop Rotation: Good turn 1 play to replace a forest with a dual or other significant land.

Harrow: Mana fixer, sacrifice a forest to get a mountain and plains.

Land Tax: Very good in multiplayer to speed things up a bit.

Primeval Titan: Acts as a fatty for Mayael as well as ramp.

Sakura-Tribe Elder: Chump and ramp.

Azusa, Lost but Seeking: Clears up my hand very nicely.

Combos/Pseudo-Combos

Fauna Shaman + Elvish Piper: Often times better than Mayael herself and acts as an alternate way of putting fatties onto the field. Clears you hand up of any fatties you don't specifically want for another.

Novablast Wurm + Mycoid Shepherd: Very circumstantial, but if know there's going to be a board wipe soon, it's a good way to get distinct advantage before hand.

Mayael the Anima + Garruk's Horde: Insight for what Mayael will be choosing. 'nuff said.

Mossbridge Troll + Creatures: VERY scary creature to drop, especially with just 1 or 2 others with him.

Panglacial Wurm + Your Choice of Tutor: WHERE DID THAT COME FROM OH GOD

Cards to Notice

Gaea's Herald: Allows you to get past any control-type decks you might face. Mayael makes a nice turn 3 after this.

Shivan Wumpus/Argothian Wurm: Timeshifted. Good way to make your opponents either lose a land or have to deal with him.

Nacatl Hunt-Pride: Acts as pseudo-removal. Allowing you to force your opponent's general to block your massive creatures.

Godsire: Huge removal target or huge creature spawner. Either is nice.

Mayael's Aria: Win more, lose less. All in one card. Perfect synergy with Mayael herself.

Urabrask the Hidden: Slows down your opponents while giving yourself an edge after tutoring up a fatty.

Vagrant Plowbeasts, Spellbreaker Behemoth, Rakeclaw Gargantuan, Mycoid Shepherd, Paleoloth: These cards essentially DEFINE synergy with the deck. Almost all of the creatures in this deck fit these conditions (including themselves), providing TONS of value.

Iona, Shield of Emeria: Turns into a lock on an obnoxious opponent.

Blazing Archon: Gives me protection from nasty creatures.

Angelic Arbiter: Makes my opponents think about their moves.
