Rise of the Dark Removal

Casual*

A deck I made for fun, not meant to be amazing or anything. Also not made to be Standard legal or anything, just a deck I'd play with friends and family. Any recommendations would be awesome!

I'm also not that great at deckbuilding... :P

The point is to kill anything the opponent can put out, and then ultimately use Rise of the Dark Realms to win the game. The strong black devotion will make Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx generate enough mana to cast RotDR early if need be, which can bring out the opponents strongest creatures from their deck after casting Life's Finale.

The Vampiric Tutors are there to help us reach whatever goal we need, whether its getting us Nykthos, RotDR or Griselbrand, our alternate win condition. The lifelink is nice to keep us healthy, especially since Vampiric Tutor, Read the Bones and Sign in Blood will drain our health and leave us dangerously low if vs'ing a very aggro token deck or burn deck or something. Other ways to gain life are through devotion with the Grey Merchants of Asphodel, or Tendrils of Corruption since we are a single colour deck and I feel it works nicely.

Sewer Nemesis will help us build our opponents Graveyard over time, while also becoming quite big bodies if enough cards are in their Graveyard. This is also great for our Wight of Precinct Six's if we can drop them.

Creature removal is primarily our Royal Assassins, while they may only be a 1/1 for 3, they do provide us with a lot of control of the battlefield, and two points of devotion to black, which is very nice. Late game we have our Avatar of Woe's which have a vastly improved version of the tap ability of the Royal Assassins, and can also be tough to block with the Fear mechanic. It's also nice that we can potentially cast them for 2 black mana if there are enough creatures in Graveyards.

Our main form of instant removal lies within Doom Blade and Go for the Throat - nice, cheap, and effective spells I am personally fond of. Though I may not run as many of each, and go for other options of removal but I'm not too sure what at the moment what those might be.

This is kind of the general idea of the deck, again, I'd love some recommendations!
