Sideboard

Already did a bunch of tweaking so many cards might not be the same as in this description or have been moved to the SB or are not in the description yet, oh the joys of writing these and then tweaking, will update later!

Some of you may remember my deck abusing Xathrid Necromancer before My NEW Aristocrats deck..

Well now we're in Theros and it's time to try to abuse him some more, especially since everyone is going all sorts of other routes so far in Standard.

We're basically going for a B/W humans tribal which I haven't seen anyone attempting anything closely related to yet, and I think it looks quite solid matched up in the current meta.

Spear of Heliod - An anthem that acts as pseudo-removal also, definitely worth testing.

Whip of Erebos - The lifelink alone is enough to try as a 1 of, but re-using sin collector or the synergy with SB Obzedat, Ghost Council is just icing on the cake.

Cartel Aristocrat - As always, the best sacrifice outlet going.

Fiendslayer Paladin - Gain's life and dodges removal, yes!

High Priest of Penance - great early game pseudo-removal.

Imposing Sovereign - Slows down all creature decks a turn while we hammer through and REALLY hurts mono red, which if you haven't been paying attention is a serious threat right now (See 1st SCG open results since Theros).

Sin Collector - Main board pull their best instant/sorcery. And the times combined with the whip will be great to abuse a second time.

Soldier of the Pantheon & Tormented Hero - The 2/1 one drops to help get their life total down from the get go! While the Hero will not be triggering heroic that's not what he's here for, and the Soldier is just amazing against so much of the current meta. ie. Voice, Smiter, Reckoner, Fleecemane, BTE, and so on...

Xathrid Necromancer - The leader of all these humans, he promises them their lives will not go to waste, as they will have a duty to accomplish when they return from the underworld in their new form. He is certainly not needed to win but he definitely creates a great synergy that makes winning that much easier and makes U/W control decks using Supreme Verdict pretty much cower unless they have multiple to play back to back, which is rare.

Sideboard:

Pithing Needle - Planewalkers and AEtherling

Lifebane Zombie - Swap with the Sin Collector when needed.

Obzedat, Ghost Council - Against control and decks with no answers to him

Crypt Incursion - Acts as Rest in Peace at instant speed to stop graveyard shenanigans or as serious lifegain when battling other aggro decks, buying time to recover and take over the game.

Profit / Loss - wipes x/1's and mana dorks or pumps the team when needed.

Glare of Heresy - Kills an INSANE amount of threats in the meta game. D-sphere, Assemble, Elspeth, Fleecemane, Voice, Reckoner etc. You get the picture again.

Thoughtseize - No reason needed, we all know!

As it stands so far I like the look of the deck on paper, and I will be testing over the next few days, but I'm also getting ready for a PTQ this Saturday which is Theros sealed so I have to be doing some testing for that also. I'm sure there will be some changes to be made, and if you have any ideas, or constructive criticism I'm always open to suggestions!

If you like the deck and the return of humans/zombies please shoot the deck a +1, as they are greatly appreciated. Thanks for stopping by! Cheers!
