Rith makes lots of tokens in not lots of time. This was my first edh deck and as such has had many versions over the years. There are many newer cards I'm aware of and trying to aquire, and even more new cards that I don't know about. It focuses on massing alot of tokens all at once as opposed to gradually, and then using those tokens to win outright rather than going in for smaller swings.

Early the strategy is to ramp up while sitting back and managing threats with removal spells. Most of the time I'll wait to make tokens until I have enough mana to do it all at once, as to not draw board wipes, unless drawing board wipes is a prudent strategy. Once I have about 8 available mana I start laying down threats. The holy grail combo of this deck would have to be the totally over the top interaction between Cathars' Crusade Doubling Season and Warstorm Surge. Most everything that's played draws immediate hate so things like Eldrazi Monument are necessary. It quickly becomes very easy to take out 3-4 players at once or more with enough tokens and the right combo. In the end it boils down to 2 ways to win: swinging through with massive damage and trample (Craterhoof Behemoth Overwhelming Stampede Cathars' Crusade), or dealing direct damage (Warstorm Surge Purphoros, God of the Forge). There are several ways to ensure those win cons happen. Grand Abolisher plays a very important role in anti-fog/countering, and several strong removal spells help clear the way. Card advantage becomes a problem once a win con in stopped so cards like Skullclamp and Slate of Ancestry are very important.Planeswalkers do a fair amount of work in this deck and doubling seasos lets me use their ultimates instantly at times which is huge.
