Spreading Algae + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth . That's the entire reason I made this deck, my third attempt at creating a functioning deck with that combo. This time, I went for an aggressive midrange golgari deck, and found a surprising amount of synergy throughout. Here's the thing, the combo doesn't work unless you can consistently get Urborg. Elvish Reclaimer is a great way to tutor specific lands for cheap. Well, if we're tutoring lands, might as well run Urza's Saga since it's one of the best lands in modern right now. Well now we're running artifacts, Mishra's Bauble in specific. Expedition Map to search lands too, why not. So now we can loop saga into saga, or saga to fetch urborg, or and other silver bullet target. You know what goes really well with Mishra's Bauble? Lurrus of the Dream-Den. So we're golgari, we need to stay under 2 cmc for permanents, we already have creatures, artifacts, enchantments, and lands, Tarmagoyf's a no brainer. Grim Flayer too, why not, also mills for lurrus. Now you just throw in the rest of the normal Golgari Lurrus suite, add some spice like Life from the Loam to reuse fetch lands and saga and boom, you've got a deck. This deck is trying to beat down quickly with Goyf and flayer, or grind for way too long with saga and lurrus, all while disrupting your opponent with algae and discard.
