I just playtested your deck, to make sure that my affinity deck wasn't a total flop. Anyways, here is the gist of the games (best out of three).
My deck turn 1 got 2 Frogmite out on turn 1, and proceeded to Dispatch a Tarmogoyf , while beating you down with another ravager and Etched Champion , it didn't go well for your deck.
My deck kept a hand of 3 Arcbound Ravager (sometimes I seriously question the playtester). not much to say. Wish this deck got a Maelstrom Pulse . i would seriously consider adding 1 Damnation to the main including the side, just for the affinity much and rdw.
I think that the suggestions idea is funny when it tells me to suggest to your the affinity cards.

4 tarmogoyfs. That is beautiful. Love the deck. Hope my own collection will one day allow me to build such a beautiful and brutal deck. +1

Yea, Affinity match can really go either way. I actually rebuilt this deck recently, and included a 2nd copy of Damnation . There are a lot of times I just wish I had a Damnation in hand.

I also don't see the point of Sword of Body and Mind . i would much rather have Sword of Light and Shadow /Sword of War and Peace , for the lifegain/recursion/damage/better pro colors imo.

IamtheThorne I don't own the Goyfs or Bobs yet. Own the fetches & lillys & everything else though. Just being patient and trying to find the goyfs for less than 100 a piece and trying to snag the Bob playset for hopefully around 200.
check out this deck Of Plague & Persecution which is the deck I run until I can get my hands on the Bobs & Goyfs.

Goyf/ScOoze/DRS all benefit from Sword of Body and Mind . Plus it replaced Garruk, the Veil-Cursed Flip as token gen.
Yes War & Peace has protection from Bolt & Path but I feel Body & Mind, then Feast & Famine have the best utility for this deck. I really liek Fire & Ice as well.
Sword hits & Goyfs grows, ScOoze grows, DRS has plenty of exile food.

Good luck with the goyfs haha. I have been patiently as well building a Junk deck and it took a while to get all of Bob. I read your argument for Sword of Body and Mind but I still think Sword of Light and Shadow would do much better for you if you can acquire one or two. It protects you from two of the most removal-heavy colors in the format and I find with rock decks that you are typically killing yourself (i.e. fetches, shocks, Thoughtseize ) so the life gain is invaluable as well as the recurrence of big threats such as your goyfs. Just my two cents. Otherwise I think this is a pretty solid build for BG rock.

I could get the sword, but I really think I would much rather have Sword of Feast and Famine instead. I honestly don't know what to take out. I've got by with only 1 Pithing Needle but I've also had that 1 Pithing Needle Detention Sphere 'd and was thankful for Abrupt Decay but much rather would have just had another Pithing Needle to side in. so I would be hesitant to take out the 2nd. Not much free space. :/

A lot of rock decks now are playing Courser of Kruphix . I would highly recommend it. It helps you to basically turn useless draws into good draws. Like, it essentially says 'if you would draw a land next turn, play that land this turn instead and see what's under it'. It's like having a Phyrexian Arena that only sometimes activates but when it does - it gives you life. Which is important because this also helps offset DConfidant.
Another change is that the single thrun is sometimes run main board now. With 4 toughness he gives no shit about most of the threats in the meta and with regenerate he can block all day long and be fine. He also can't be removed with spells. If you land him against pod, or hatebears, or a variety of other creature based decks you will just slowly win.
Rock isn't a dead deck by a long stretch of the imagination. It just has to change. The meta is pretty fast in terms of both combos and aggression. You need a T3 blocker with 4 toughness, you need some life gain, and you need to stop twin T4. Obviously the latter rock could do fine, but the former only came recently with the release of courser.

lol I keep up on Rock decks, probably more than I should. I constantly check MTGtop8 for new lists and up to date on what is and isn't played. This deck died when DRS was banned though.
Actually people have been running Thrun, the Last Troll MB for a long time, back to when this list was originally made even. It was either Thrun or the 4th copy of ScOoze or Finks.
I like Finks, but yea Courser is better. However I have no intention of updating this deck, other than adding things to the maybe list.
And actually Rock dropped hard, then Obliterator rock made a small splash & now Courser & Thrun have taken Rock back to Tier 1 where it should be. :)

It's a great deck, it really is. It's a shame about drs obviously, but it can still continue. As you said - it still top 8s and does well.
