Imo Artful Dodge is better to that deck then Distortion Strike because you can cast it second time from grave, If you have Consuming Aberration on field you can mill yourself to cast it or cast twice to mill 2 lands.

Wow! Best Milling Deck i've seen so far. +1
Maybe you can help me with my Milling Deck a little bit --> Dimir (First Deck)

Well, The first thing i would do seeing this deck is take out Wight of Precinct Six and put in Crypt Incursion . This saved my life so many times already, i mean get a turn 1 Thought Scour , turn 2 Breaking / Entering , turn 3 Mind Funeral , Turn 4 another Thought Scour and then u pull a Crypt Incursion while u have milled the deck for lets say 15-20 already. Even if its only 6 creatures its still +18 life, once i had 64 life in turn 5 against a aggro deck

Thanks Dazard! I will do it! :)
To WoopWoop: thanks for the comment! In effect that's a nice strategy and I'm considering that card... I will try it!!

Great work on this deck man! It's great to see all together.I haven't read all your post but I just notice that you didn't have commented about Mindcrank + Duskmantle Guildmage combo.I think they are worth it just for the possibility of the combo. Besides, 1 slot for each isn't that much.Love the deck though, I've been having problems to make my Mono Blue Mill deck and I think this post will clear something for me.One +1 from me! o/Keep up the good work!

Two more things: don't you think Tome Scour does the job better than Mind Sculpt ? I mean, Jace's Phantasm could be hitting hard on the second turn, with 1 Glimpse the Unthinkable or 2x Tome Scour .
The other thing is: since you have 4x Wight of Precinct Six , Undead Alchemist wouldn't have a little place in the deck ?
I had considered doing a UB Mill Deck, but the dual lands and the good mill cards like Glimpse the Unthinkable are pretty damn expensive so kept my Mono Blue going. =/
I will read the entire post soon to come back with other doubts. :D

We can't do much against Rest in Peace , can we ?
Sorry about the flooding. At the moment I got nothing else to do, LOL.

Last one for now, I swear !
Have you considered Rite of Consumption ? Your creatures get ridiculously powerful then it's another win condition.

since you have no mana dump in your deck have you considered putting 2x Nephalia Drownyard so if you have a bad draw on turn 4-5-6 you can still spend your mana somewhere

I have to thank you for all this information. I don't want to bore you with too many details, but I do want to let you know why I appreciate all the information you have provided (especially that list of mill cards).
My first deck was a pre-built one a friend bought me, Dimir Dementia. Ever since, mill has been one of my favorite strategies. I have spent more time and money on my mill deck now than any other. I am constantly trying to think of ways to change and improve it. As much time as I have spent on it, I would have spent twice as much time by now if it weren't for your list. My mill deck is probably my favorite deck, or close to it!
For a long time my deck was very similar, all the same creatures and mostly blue mill spells (because they tend to be cheaper). There are a few cards I thought of that could be added to your list (apart from newly released cards). At the moment I can only think of one though, Increasing Ambition . Well, I think that is all.
Again, thank you.

Hi friend, Thank you so much for this list, it makes my life so much easier, but I couldn't help but notice you don't have Lurking Informant on the list. It is the most basic of mill, but mill none the less.
Thanks again for the list, it is a lifesaver!

Thanks for all the comment guys! I didn't play Magic in the last period, but now the deck (and the list) is updated again!

I would suggest running fetch lands (i.e. Misty Rainforest or Marsh Flats ) to combo in a big way with Hedron Crab . Also, Haunting Echoes can be a game over by turn 5. not turn 6 like consuming abberation

Sorry about the wrong tag at the end...You know what I mean.

Swap your 4x Drowned Catacomb for 4x Evolving Wilds / Terramorphic Expanse ? They work quite well with Hedron Crab . Mill 6 with the one Crab and still get your land.

Have you considered using Grimoire Thief goes well with artful dodge. Maybe sideboard Sadistic Sacrament for eldrazi or other combo decks. It's not as good as extirpate or surgical extraction but you dont need have a copy go to the graveyard to be able to remove what you like and the kicker is fun if you could afford it. Bojuka Bog would be nice to flush out their graveyard but wouldn't work well with wright and aberation. And why not use Aqueous Form instead of Artful Dodge since the extra scry ability is better for the same cost.

Thanks for the hard work with the list... coincidentally I was working on my own list and happened upon yours purely by accident. To contribute to the cause: Dark Ritual Brainstorm Force of Will Mental Misstep are all banned in Modern.

@16smith & @Tinselteeth: Thanks for the lands tip, i like it. Anyway I think it can slow my strategy because every turn I mill 4 cards (not too much) and I only gain a tapped land (so the number of tappable lands I have is the number of lands I had on the previous turn). Regard Haunting Echoes that's interesting, I'll add it to the maybeboard... But I must test it! Thanks!
@Renzo28: Thanks for that card! At the moment I'm not following MTG's new expantions, so I didn't know that card. Anyway I won't put it in my grimoire, because I would attack rarely with a 2/2, and its effect won't be used in the right ways. Sadistic Sacrament is a nice card, but it requests 3 swamps, too much: Eldrazi are fast, It is possibile that I won't have three swamps during early turns. Bojuka Bog isn't as well as Grafdigger's Cage , but I'll add it to the list.I considered Aqueous Form but I prefer Artful Dodge because of its awesome flashback ability, I love the auto milling strategy.
@SwampHippie: Thanks, I forgot the (X)! :)

Nice deck, +1. I've got one similar but not as good I don't think (Mill 2 Kill).
Have you thought about Nighthowler in place of Wight of Precinct Six , its only one black mana more but does afford you the opportunity to bestow (possibly onto an Aberration) for one massive creature?

I only had time to read about 1/2 of your post, but the work/editing you put in is excellent. +1

I would include Trepanation Blade for any unblockable creature, like Invisible Stalker

First of all, sir, I love the deck, I've always been a milling fan and I am currently trying to make this deck to play in my group. A question though for Your Millingness, what would you think of Phenax, God of Deception in a deck very similar to this one? With the toughness of Wight of Precinct Six and Consuming Aberration , it could be a win condition often.
