Staticaster is undeniably good. Works great in Jeskai Control as well as in the Grixis colors.

What cards are good against Jund Shadow? I'm looking for a new card to slot in the sideboard of my delver deck but idk what's that good against it.

What's the rest of your list like? I'm just getting back into modern after a several month hiatus, but I've played a bit against deaths shadow. Nihil Spellbomb is nice sideboard utility against them, but you're probably already playing Surgical Extraction instead. Removal is awesome against them, but they have discard so you'll want a lot of removal to be effective. Stubborn Denial is a pain out of their deck if they play it. Blood Moon is probably good against them, but I haven't tested it yet.

Thanks! I'm pretty rusty. I'll be playing this deck tonight. Last week I lost several games from misplays, so I have high hopes for tonight.

"Called the eXtreme Deep Field, or XDF, the photo was assembled by combining 10 years of NASA Hubble Space Telescope photographs taken of a patch of sky at the center of the original Hubble Ultra Deep Field. The XDF is a small fraction of the angular diameter of the full moon." (http://spaceref.com/astronomy/cosmology/farthest-ever-view---ever---of-the-universe.html) That took me a little bit to find, had to go inspect this pages html, find the image, reverse image search. I appreciate the challenge. Now about the deck, I like it and I especially like the alters and the amount of time you seem to have put into the deck. Also I really like your way of deciding who goes first.

You are exactly right. Xdf is one of my favorite space pictures. I'm honestly surprised you read enough of the description to find the challenge. That description is pathetically out of date, but kudos to you.

youve probably answered this at one time or another, but what about spectre. You can easily discard it and use it for later, and it quickly removes your opponents hand. Also, I noticed that you didn't include fatal push, which would seem like a good card to have here. Censor would also seem good because it is acounter that can build your grave. Cut and Ribbons would seem like another good one as it is removal that can deal late game damage and is useful after you discard it. Smugglers copter is the last one that seemed as if it would fit in. I love the deck tho

Sedraxis Specter was in the original Bloody Singleminded (Competitive), but cut because the discard tended to come down too late and didn't do enough. It was also too proactive - with Bloodghast already being pretty proactive, it just didn't really work to have other proactive cards too and still keep the control aspects of the deck. This would be even more true in this meta where we need to have a Terminate for Death's Shadow almost every game.
Fatal Push I don't have because $9 for a standard-legal uncommon is kinda ridiculous. Decks are also starting to respond to Push by playing cards that it doesn't hit, so I think it's actually a good time to not be playing it and play a deck that can support a bunch of Terminate instead. I would probably only play 1 or maybe 2 if I had them. Lightning Bolt + Snapcaster Mage just seems so much stronger in this meta because no one else is doing it. I've taken so many games against shadow because I can control turns 1-4 and then explode with aggro on turns 4-5 when they get low on life.
Not many modern decks tend to tap out for Censor to be effective, and I cut Thought Scour because I was tired of so many cards in my opening hand that didn't do anything immediately. Dispel answers Path to Exile, Stubborn Denial, and Collected Company - pretty much everything I care about. This deck is otherwise sorcery-speed most of the time so counterspells tend to be awkward in game 1.
Cut / Ribbons is interesting. I haven't seen that card yet. It still misses Tasigur, the Golden Fang and Gurmag Angler and most Tarmogoyf, but it hits a lot of other things. I never really get more than 5 mana in any game, but that's a card I'll have to keep in mind.
Smuggler's Copter is an interesting one. I've never considered it here, but it's more damage than Snapcaster Mage or Bloodghast and it has evasion. I'm thinking turn 1 Thoughtseize, turn 2 Copter, turn 3 snap-thoughtseize and crew Copter. That would be a devastating line against Eldrazitron. I might not have enough creatures to make it worth it and a hand of multiple Copter would really suck, but it could give the deck the aggression it needs against Eldrazi.
Thanks for all the suggestions though! You've given me some stuff to think about.

i gotchu. Also, bloodghast can also tap for copter which means that you can have a reliable blocker that can also fight souls delver and other fliers. Cut hits enemy kalitas, scooze, bob, thoughtknot seer, all the burn creatures, linvala, loxodon smiter, restoration angel, ob baloth, spellskite, and a lot of others that bolt doesnt hit. I'm thinking about making one of these decks of my own and I have a couple other ideas. Pia and kiran nalaar? it seems good and like it fits with the deck. Abbot seems like another thing to consider. It is aggro, card advantage and fast. Bedlam reveler seems like another good one. It is also fast card advantage and its huge as well as using your graveand helping you discard cards. enigma drake is also good. It can become big, its only 3 mana and its boltproof. cryptic serpent is also a good addition. It is big, flying, grave using aggro and canblock. just some thoughts.

car I've been thinking about your comment quite a bit recently. In playing at FNM, it feels like this deck needs to start being more aggressive. I find that, with kalitas in particular, the deck can't turn the corner fast enough. If I'm going to be playing 4 bolt, which I want to do, I need to be able to play explosively.
My idea right now is I want to be controlling the first 2-3 turns, then turn around and get really aggressive really fast. The motivation for this is that it would make the UWx control, titan shift, and eldrazi/tron matchups better, but I'd like to improve those while still keeping enough control to keep affinity and burn good enough.
I'd like to start by changing the creatures and then form the deck around those. I'm planning on cutting kalitas, but I'm a little stumped on how to replace him.
I'm definitely playing 4 Bloodghast, 4 Snapcaster Mage, and 2 Tasigur, the Golden Fang.
I don't think Sedraxis Specter is the way to go as graveyard hate is higher than ever. I don't think Delver of Secrets Flip is correct either because I want to keep resilience to Fatal Push. Smuggler's Copter is soft to Kolaghan's command and push, but it might be a good option despite that. Abbot of Keral Keep might be the answer - dying to push isn't so bad as I can still get value and it can hit hard. Vendilion Clique is another option, as is Electrolyze. Bedlam Reveler is powerful and push-proof, but awkward with tasigur and all the grave hate running around these days. The final option I'm considering is Gurmag Angler or Tombstalker. Any thoughts?
TheAlexGnan I'd love your opinion too.

I think you're right with pretty much all of that. Fewer loots for thought scour makes sense right now.
Dispel has been phenomenal for me. Best spicy 2-of ever. It's been relevant every time I've drawn it so far. It counters path, company, and stubborn denial, so it wins a lot of games for me right now. And main deck burn hate is always good. It's not good against affinity or tron, but I think it's still worth it.
Kalitas is probably a necessary evil in the deck. He's awkward when I want to get aggressive, but he wins games against enough of the meta. I forgot that he is my only out to company decks in game 1. Fatal push decks are generally really good matchups so kalitas being bad there is likely fine.
I think in this meta Murderous Cut is too costly. I've been finding it hard to cast recently. I'll put another terminate in its place.
You're right about Electrolyze. Eot deal 2 draw 1 sounds nice, but it doesn't do enough.
I feel like I need to add more to my sideboard to help my deck race. The deck is just too slow against eldrazitron, UW control, and titan shift. Engineered Explosives can probably be cut or trimmed. It's usually too much mana. But I don't know what to add. Every deck has graveyard hate in games 2 and 3, so more delve threats won't help much. I could do something absurd like Hellspark Elemental or Soul-Scar Mage or Stormchaser Mage or Thing in the Ice or Harsh Mentor, but I don't know if any of those would work.

How do you guys feel about Shizo, Death's Storehouse? Getting through with a tasigur or a kalitas matters a ton against some decks (eldrazi, tron, titan decks, control variants, anything with pro-black or tokens) but at the same time it might be a waste of a land slot. I got away with 3 mono-black sources pretty easily when I played 2x swamp and urborg, so I should be able to get away with 3 again. I shouldn't need the extra mana sink, but I'm really enticed by this card.

Alright, Jace is back. I can't afford it, so I have to beat it instead. Bloodghast goes a long way to out-pace control decks. Thoughtseize should be fantastic against Jace decks. But I need something more. If they draw path to exile, snapcaster, and Jace, then I probably can't win.
I really like field of ruin so far. The color limitations have not been too bad, but I don't think I can support 2. Perhaps a second in the sideboard for Tron, but I'm not sure.
BBE Jund feels very 50/50. Not bad, but it could be better I think.

Wow, it's been awhile. But I re-acquired a Creeping Tar Pit today and even got it signed by the artist so I'll never part with it again. Now I own these 75 cards except for Bloodstained Mire and Liliana, but I'm going to get Liliana with store credit next time I go to the game store and can probably get Bloodstained Mire from a different store also with store credit before Friday.
I think if I can play on Friday at FNM I'm going to unsleeve my Delvers and sleeve this up. I'm in a sentimental mood. Delver has been fun but I miss Bloodghast and Oboro and Faithless Looting. Playing without Faithless Looting is so empty. I get mana flooded and can't do anything about it. I don't have a late game value engine. It's so sad.
Good god this list desperately needs another Blood Crypt, Bloodstained Mire, Field of Ruin, and Tar Pit. If I decide to keep playing it more often I'll try to get those cards. Depends if I can win on occasion and get more store credit.

TheAlexGnan I'm going to play this deck tonight, but I can't decide on what creatures I want. I can play 4 copies in combination of Young Pyromancer, Tasigur, the Golden Fang, and Gurmag Angler. I'm pretty sure I want 2 Pyromancer, but is it better to have 2 Tasigur or 2 Fish? Help!

Ashiok used to be my favorite card. Takes too long to get going sadly. Also by the time Ashiok is pumping out creatures, I'll have already won. Fun card, but not good enough for the deck.
