Plague Wind and Hex as board wipes that also help Kresh
Black cards you might want to add would be Butcher of Malakir , Gravepact, Mortivore , Royal Assassin . Chainer, Dementia Master to get your creatures back or take one of your opponents. Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief , maybe Deathgreeter and Sangromancer , along with Vein Drinker . you also may want some tutors, such as Demonic Collusion , Diabolic Tutor , or Rune-Scarred Demon . maybe some targeted removal like Doomblade, Go for the Throat , Terminate , Rend Flesh , or Terror .
Some protection for Kresh would be Asceticism , Canopy Cover , some of the unbras like Bear Umbra or Boar Umbra . you could also go the equipment route and get Whispersilk Cloak , Lightning Greaves , swiftfoot boots]], Mask of Avacyn or card:Champion's Helm.
if you find that Kresh dies too often to make him relevent late game I'd add some other big creatures that can win you the game like Molimo, Maro-Sorcerer , Borborygmos , or some of the wurms like Engulfing Slagwurm , Plated Slagwurm , Pelakka Wurm or maybe. other win conditions would be Insurrection , Savage Beating , Relentless Assault , Overrun , or Overwhelming Stampede .
you also might consider running some mana ramp like card:Kodama's Reach, Journey of Discovery , Cultivate , and Far Wanderings . Yavimaya Elder seems pretty perfect for this deck.
you might also look at Mimic Vat and Jedit Ojanen of Efrava

Okay. Finally built it. Played twice 1v1 against a sen triplets]] EDH, and smashed it's face in pretty good.Second game, coupled Rapacious One with Mage Slayer for ten tokens, then fed them to Thorn-Thrash Viashino to make it a 22. Cast Blasphemous Act for one red, re-equipped the mageslayer to the thorn thrash, and because it was the only thing that survived, I swung for effectively 44. Totally forgot to cast Kresh the Bloodbraided both games. He was just redundant with the hands that I drew.

Those are great cards as well! I really need to make a list of these and rebuild this deck already. I know I've seen some of these cards, and think I actually have a fair portion of them. Thanks for all the help!
Another Commander kill story.
I was playing four person EDH. I had a Mage Slayer , and a Demonspine Whip equipped to Kresh the Bloodbraided . I had a Deathgreeter on the field, and a Blasphemous Act in my hand. I attacked with about 3-4 saprolings on a couple consecutive turns to let them die to buff him to 15/15, cast Blasphemous Act . I gained 20+ life putting me at the magical 42 life, and turn him into a 111/111. I swung and killed an opponent in one shot.
He retaliated with a Condemn ... I killed him, but I was sad. And very proud. Thinking back... I should have gained 111 life... I could have won that game. Damn.
I ended up being the last to die, so I didn't win, but mainly because the little white control deck had held back to let me wind up, and then had removed my power house. :(
You just never know with the politics. Do you show somebody this awesome card you have that will decimate everything but will remove the big player, or do you just try to become the big player sneaky like...

Depends on the game. I don't play many commander games but I had this sick 2v2v2v2 and some guy whipped out Dark Depths about 3rd or 4th turn very secretly like. I was playing a variant of my deck deck:spades-jacks-and-kings when I realized about turn 7 that he was ramping for something big. My ally played a Day of Judgment and after that Mr. Sneaky-pants paid 9 mana for True Conviction and removed his last counter... We scrambled. And watched in absolute horror has he played Clone on his next turn.

We had no idea what was going on. Our Day of Judgment Wiped out everyone's defense. it was epic. also that deck I used transformed into deck:the-heartless-hotel which might be worth your attention for the black/red it uses.

+1 for the name! :D
Seriously though, seems really fun. Great Commander synergy with everything! I especially love Spider Spawning in here. Have you considered Mimic Vat ?

have you considered Parallel Lives and Doubling Season with all of your token production? could be pretty nice with Rapacious One
May 28, 2012 8:06 p.m.
Yes, I had Spawning Pit in the first build and never pulled it, and was advised to take it out, but I still have it in the pile of cards that I got for the deck, and I do really like the idea of it. The only drawback is that it exiles the copies, so they don't help Kresh grow.
Parallel Lives and Doubling Season are both amazing, and would go so well. I also need to get my Gutter Grime in here.

imagine someone not blocking a rapacious one when you have out those enchantments... all of a sudden 20 colorless mana.

OH also, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed looks like a shoe in. (together with Triskelion makes for an instant kill combo.)
May 28, 2012 8:21 p.m.
Rapacious One is absolutely breathtaking with a Mage Slayer and a Whispersilk Cloak .
Also. I never thought of the Mikaeus, the Unhallowed /Triskelion combo. That's amazing!

you know that you don't get extra tokens with Mage Slayer right? (says combat damage not any damage). Also, do you know how it works?
May 28, 2012 9:48 p.m.
Oh... I never noticed that... Dang. I've been cheating. Haha. Whoops.
And I think your question is referring to how the deck plays. No, I haven't played the deck yet. Friday will be it's first playtest in this configuration. I had played it before with a strong token theme. And Kresh is, by far, my favorite general. I have a Mikaeus, the Lunarch , Teysa, Orzhov Scion , Rafiq of the Many , and a Phelddagrif .

It was actually referring to how the mikaeus combo works lol
I play with one of 4 edh decks (I try not to cross mana so I don't have to re-buy staples) deck:rollover-mana, deck:the-end-of-evolution-3, Team Blade, or deck:i-aint-fraid-of-no-geist.
May 29, 2012 12:11 a.m.
Yeah the combo works because Triskelion has no counters when he hits the graveyard, comes back with a neg one and three pos ones. Pull two counters and repeat ad nauseum.
Checking out your other decks now.

you have to ping the triskelion itself but you that's the gist of it
May 29, 2012 12:17 a.m.
Oh I see the +1/+1, and they're undying so it'll come back with 4 +1/+1's not persist.

Ohthenoises says... #23
yup. you have to ping a player once then you use the other two to kill itself then it returns ping 2 to player 2 to itself again and so on ...
