This is a commander deck meant to exploit enter the battlefield/on death effects, or force your opponent to take damage from Athreos, God of Passage. I didn't want this deck to be pigeon holed and solely reliant on my opponent making the wrong call on sending creatures back to my hand or not, so I added other conditions and solid creatures to round it out. Still the name of the game is value and I tried to include cards that were still effective even in death.

In addition there is of course the Sanguine Bond, Exquisite Blood combo which is an instant win, if you feel like it. I love playing extort especially in games with more than 2 players. It paints a big target on you but the amount of potential gain when played at strategic times is too much to ignore.

Pontiff of Blight because extort is amazing in commander, it dodges Witchbane Orb and other shroud effects.

All of the enchantments that disregard those who want to play around Athreos, God of Passage. Sigil of the New Dawn, Phyrexian Recalmation, Fated Return , and Death Knell.

Cards like Lethal Vapors combined with Death Knell or Phyrexian Reclamation let you exploit death effects over and over again. this works almost too well with Kokusho, the Evening Star

Heroes' Podium is a card that i believe will be incredibly valuable in this deck not only because of the high number of legendaries I have, but because of the pseudo scry ability. It allows you (in long games) to plan out your deck to a degree, and many times will get you to the legendary you need just in time.

All of these card, combined with multiple sac outlets allow the user of this deck to control the game at their own pace. It allows you to make risky plays and chump block forever all while maintaining incredible card advantage and often getting multiple uses out of creatures.
