Inspired when considering the playability/number of copies you should play of Ruric Thar, the Unbowed.

The challenge is to make a deck that is competitive in my casual meta while playing no non-creature spells so that the playset of Ruric Thar, the Unbowed does not handicap me.

To provide some kind of removal I decided to run 3 Ulvenwald Trackers.

Whenever it is played, Gyre Sage is likely to evolve the next turn and the two toughness means it might survive it's first fight if it's played late game.

Heartwood Storyteller is a great fit in this deck and should make for fun multiplayer games where it might also give me some diplomatic clout.

When I noticed I would be playing 2 playsets of creatures with the warrior subtype (Ruric Thar, the Unbowed and Rubblebelt Raiders ) I decided to add a further two warriors in a pair of Rhox Brute and run two Bramblewood Paragon . Trample is really relevant on Ruric and the Raiders and since the Raiders put counters on themselves I merely need the two cards to be out at the same time to have a trampling 4/4+ a la Ghor-Clan Rampager.
