Original idea from JeffHoogland's deck deck:Magic Carpet. I've copied it to represent my current build of the deck.

An aggro/control deck. Disrupt your opponent's turn with counters, win by flashing in your creatures.

The deck is built so that once a Huntmaster is down, you will want to try and flip him every turn - and it is consistent in being able to do so.

Don't be fooled by Yeva, Nature's Herald, she isn't here to flash in Huntmaster. While cute, it's not consistent nor the point of her in this deck. Use here as a well costed 4/4 flash creature, her second ability is only secondary.

General game strategy I've been following is:

  • Your first few turns will be draw-go. You need a Syncopate or Izzet Charm in hand for your opponents Farseek - it must be countered.

  • On your opponents third turn, probably during their declare attack phase, you will want to flash in the Wolfir Avenger . (Hopefully killing their mana dork or early creature and clearing the battlefield). You'll swing with him on your following turn.

  • Leaving the mana open, counter spells on their turn, but they may slow play for the fear of a counter and just pass turn - place your Yeva at the end step.

  • Swing with both creatures next turn, leaving mana open to play spells on theirs. Flash in more Wolfir's or even a Huntmaster.

  • Now use burn spells and draw spells to get him to flip every turn.
