This is by far my favorite deck that I own. Fast ramp to get my commander out as fast as possible, from there I try to grind out my opponents with gradual card advantage and constant removal. I did have fast mana rocks such as mana crypt and Vault to ramp out even harder, but i thought it was too fast.

I tend to play this deck as a Gruul control deck with "Lightning Bolts" lands, and targeted removal.

I have been tweaking and play-testing this deck for about 4 years now. I believe it is the best spot it can be in, but i am open to recommendations or questions as to why I run certain cards.

Some small combos that are fun are:

Borby Combat dmg reveal + scroll rack = 1 Mana draw 3 lightning bolts (as long as you put 3 lands on top)

Zhur-Taa Druid + Keen Sense / Snake Umbra = Draw 3 (If in a 4 man pod)

Loam + Keen Sense / Snake Umbra on Borby = A good amount of grindy damage

Wrenn and Six Emblem + Any spell in the deck = A huge amount of value (probably wont happen since it takes a while)
