Hello and welcome to my Rune-Tail invincibility EDH deck. There are a lot of very aggressive strategies in EDH and this deck does a decent job of shutting them down. One of the reasons it succeeds is because of the unusual way it goes about setting up it's defenses. There are a few cards in this deck which redirect all damage dealt to me to the creature instead; with Rune-tail out this effectively negates all damages I would take. Life loss still punches through but hopefully the lifegain options I've included will help with that. A lot of the creatures are incredibly hard to get rid of. Eight and a half tails does a stellar job of protecting any permanent you control, though you have to keep mana up to do so. One of the things I noticed while I was playing with my friends is that very few people actually run good old fashioned board wipes; many of them were transitioning to more single target removal. This was great news for this deck because even if a single cog piece is removed the deck is designed with redundancies in mind; kill one piece and the defensive wall can still stand. There are some cool plays you can make with this deck and it is common for games to go on for a while especially since I have tried to pack in as much recursion as I could get away with.

The elephant in the room for mono-white has always been ramp and card advantage. I have tried to remedy this as much as I could by adding certain ramp cards and artifact mana. Land tax+scroll rack is an oldie but goodie, allowing you to draw a ton of cards each turn all the while consistently hitting your land drops, stacking your deck to set up for future turns, and generally just give you better options and control over the game. There are a number of cards that make you the monarch. This deck is favorably positioned to have and keep the monarch for long swaths of time. While the deck is not immune to life loss, it is designed to be very resilient to direct damage. I have played games with this deck where I became the monarch by playing one of my cards and then go on to never have the monarch taken away from me the entire rest of the game; it's hard to lose the crown when you have such good bodyguards working for you. Marchesa would be proud.

One of the problems with this deck arises when Rune-tail has been killed by some disenchant type thing and then you have been attacked and your life lowered to below 30. This is hopefully where the lifegain comes in. I didn't include that many cards that straight up gain you life but I did try and make sure that the lifegain I did include was able to gain you a large amount of life at one time. Heliod, sun crowned can give your biggest creature lifelink. Angel of destiny provides it's own form of pseudo-lifelink as well as a win condition to boot.

This deck is not the most powerful mono-white deck out there, but it is really fun and the gimmick can actually work out really well. If you are looking for a way to play a fair game with magics weakest color and still have a decent shot at winning give this baby a spin.
