RedReveng3 I'm not super high on harvest season bc it's worst in the early game where you need ramp the most. Curving into it on turn 2 after turn 1 dork is pretty underwhelming. But in the right deck it could be good if you can live long enough to safely cast it on turns 4, 5, or 6.

have you thought about Boom/Bust as an MLD card that you can fire off early if you need to get rid of a problematic land like opposing Gaea's Cradles

Yes Boom/Bust is a reasonable choice but most often I'd want the 6cmc geddon mode which is a bit overcosted. There are some cheaper options that I'd prefer to try first: winter orb, impending disaster, ruination, and the one from kamigawa block where everyone sacs lands equal to your cards in hand.

I recently did some work to tuneup this build and some of your suggestions have actually proven quite good. I'm now on Freyalise, Utopia Sprawl, and Great Oak Guardian / Twin. I've been trying a lot of spicy flex options over the last 6 months but I found it was best to stick with my core competencies: land hate, artifact hate, twin, and ramp. I've added Obliterate so now I'm running all the big red blow up spells to go with 4 walkers and Titania. Thus far I've had really good success on cockatrice meta vs some very good decks. Thank you for your suggestions.

awesome! Ya I'v been lagging about asking about all the small changes you've been making. The deck is looking really great, and trying out flex cards is always important because you never know if a card will end up working really well unless you try.

I like the changes. Do you think Root Maze fits now that you've slimmed down on artifacts?

Root Maze is a fine card - a powerhouse actually and I've plugged it in several times but for whatever reason in this build it seems underwhelming. I guess drawing it later is not that great and doesn't really affect the board. Drawing it early obviously grinds the game to a halt but it sort of just stalls thing until they remove or bounce it. I've had better success with cards that actually actively remove resources; even something like tectonic break. But Root Maze is obviously strong in certain metas and maybe I'll give it another shot.

Hi, just want too ask if you have tested Trinisphere and do you think it will fit our purpose to shut down early combo decks?

Yes Trinisphere is also great and a fine include. The reason I wasnt running it is because it dies to titania's song seeds of innocence and doesn't combo with Titania like s MLD spell. I've moved away a bit from Song a bit in favor of the new By Force so I should probably try Trini again since its such a powerhouse and I like that its strong early or late. Good point.

Since u already run stranglehold, what do you think about: "Priceof Gory"?
just to mess up with any blue player on the table ;)

Price is pretty spicy and I've experimented with it but just never really drawn it to see if it mattered. I'd say it's a fine choice in blue heavy metas

In very blue heavy metas I suppose Serpopard may be ok. But there are cheaper and more flexible options in things like Vexing Shusher and that 2-drop elf that makes creatures uncounterable that I'd probably play first.

Have you considered Orcish Lumberjack at all? Also, would Gorilla Shaman be a decent creature-based answer for rocks?

tw0handt0uch says... #17
Yes both of those are fine inclusions and I've used them before in the flex slots.

Smokestack, and Winter Orb would make this deck pretty cancerous. You can also consider cards like Wasteland, Strip Mine, Dust Bowl, and Ramunap Excavator, Crucible of Worlds. Dont exactly know what your play style is, but cards like Natural Order, and Eldritch Evolution are also great.
Just throwing up some ideas, lemme know what you think?

Eldritch Evo and Natural Order are both in already and are staples. It's interesting that you mention crucible and ramunap w/ strip mines... i literally have a note to myself already to try the lands package, especially because tabernacle can be brutal to play against. Winter Orb is fine and has gone in and out through previous versions of the list. It's pretty good against control but with all the 4 color partners running around it sometimes doesnt do much bc they have a base of both creature mana and mana rocks. These are all reasonable suggestions though.

Im not the biggest fan of Land destruction, But I do run that package in my Gitrog monster deck. Although I won't really go as far as to mana starve someone, unless theyre a combo player.

Ramunap Excavator and Crucible of Worlds? It seems like they would be good since you have some lando and Null Rod doesnt turn off Crucible of Worlds. Is there something I'm not seeing?

You bring up a good point. Harsh Mentor doesn't stop many combos, however it could cause some major issues for players. It turns your opponent's fetches into Lava Spikes? That sounds pretty neat.
By Force (the artifact killing spell) seems pretty awesome. It's essentially a Shatter Spree that costs 1 more in exchange for being able to cast with G/Colorless instead of red. The downside is that it doesn't get through Gaddock or counters unlike Spree. Should definitely get some play.
Thoughts on Harvest Season? Probably my favorite card of the set.
