Samurai (4)

Maybeboard

The strategy is simple, put out as many samurai as you can, buff them up and attack relentlessly. You'll lose a lot of life in doing so, but the point is to finish your opponents off before they finish you. If you don't keep up the aggression, you will lose. Even against terrible odds, it's usually in your favor to attack.

KEY CARDS

Honor of the Pure: Most of the samurai are white! So they'll get a huge buff. Those that are red don't get the buff, but they each fill a special purpose in the deck so we make the exception.

Glory of Warfare: More buffs! Makes your attacks more deadly and your defense tougher to break.

Nagao, Bound by Honor: Buffs every samurai when attacking and is a legendary as well (apply legendary benefits stated previously)!

Iizuka the Ruthless: Your finisher. Sacrifice a samurai to give everyone else double strike. If you weren't winning yet, this should give you the game. The sacrifice will not matter.

Fumiko the Lowblood is also a legendary and forces defensive opponents to fight. This leaves them wide open for attacks and any untapped samurai you have can easily kill off key creatures. Her bushido X also works when you are attacking which means either the damage goes through or she basically kills off a blocker.

Call to Glory: This is your surprise card. Are all your samurai tapped? Your opponent sees an opportunity to finish you off? Nope! All your samurai are back up to fight and they get a nice buff to kill off those foolish creatures.

Considerations

This deck runs out of steam fast! If you are not always applying offensive pressure you will lose the upper hand. It's best not to waste turns with any samurai not attacking; you should be going at full speed. Sure, sometimes this means you'll run full speed into a wall and die, but more often than not you'll run your opponent over on the way.

Other weaknesses of this deck:There are no removal spells other than your samurai slicing the crap out of a creature. This means, if there is a formidable foe that your samurai cannot handle, there's no way around it. Usually, you wouldn't care. You'll just run all your samurai towards the face and hopefully get some through, but if there's a card stopping you from doing so, you're out of luck. Keep fighting till the end though, it's better to die with honor.

Control decks can become a nuisance too. Fighting against control is usually just a fight against the clock. Kill your opponent before they can lock you down. Once they do, there's nothing left to save you.

Last Thoughts

This deck is super fun to play against another aggro deck. Matches are quick and brutal and you can get in multiple games in just a few minutes. I hope you have fun with this deck!

Updates Add

Moved 4x Hand of Honor to Sideboard

Moved 4x Samurai of the Pale Curtain to Mainboard

This switch is just a minor preference, but I think it's slightly stronger. Even when fighting against decks that don't use the graveyard, Samurai of the Pale Curtain can keep certain cards with flashback effects out of the game. Hand of Honor should be substituted if fighting against a black deck.

Moved 2x Kentaro, the Smiling Cat to Sideboard

Increased Fumiko the Lowblood from 2x to 3x

Increased Nagao, Bound by Honor from 2x to 3x

Mana fixing was never really much of a problem in the vast majority of games. Increasing the number of Fumiko and Nagao increases the chances of drawing them in a game.
