Main Rant: After coming in 4th place at Saturday's "MTG: Game Day" with Bant Control, I couldn't really complain. The funny thing was that I still felt bitter because I got blown out by "net-decks"!!! After getting it rubbed in my face, by a player of whom I'm acquainted with, that R/W/U Miracles is the way to go after I was (barely) beaten, and getting (barely) defeated by G/W Humans... I decided to fight fire with fire... kinda lol.

I noticed that all these winning net-decks are super cheap in converted-mana cost, like G/W Humans, RakdosB-Win, Red-Deck Wins, B/G Zombies, and etc. Geist of Saint Traft did great with my W/U Geist Detain deck, but since people have better grips with the format now, that deck is irrelevant in way- even though I still want to use Geist. I still want to play control, but unless I play that damn R/W/U Miracles deck, I might as well hang it up unless I want to struggle to barely win against aggro. So... why not just do what aggro is doing? No, I don't mean playing aggro as well; I'm talking about making things cheaper.

Tech Rant: It's pretty simple actually. It plays just like a control deck, yet it has the speed of an aggro deck. Control the board with cheap counters and cheap removal, then drop the cheap bomb creatures and swing.

Closing: There's some tweaking I need to do. It does really well at times, and really bad at others. If you have any suggestions, drop them in the comments.

8th place out of 12 participants.

Round 1: Lost 1-2 against B/R Zombies. Played really strong against one of the best and most revered players in the area, and nearly won the 3rd game- but fell short.

Round 2: "Bye"...

Round 3: Got a 1-1 Draw against Jund Midrange. Had an awkward board state the entire time, which made the other player laugh every time I pointed it out. Good games though; good challenge.

Round 4: Lost 1-2 against some retarded B/G something... not really Zombies. It was actually a bad deck, I just didn't even try. I should've mulliganed with obvious shit opening-hands, but I didn't. I just wanted to go home and eat something.
