Sideboard

This started out as some jank-ass jank and turned into a borderline netdeck. Made a few compromises, plays alright, purrs like a Pardic Firecat when you rev the engine.

Let's talk about Rubblebelt Raiders.

Cons:
Costs triple red (not that big an issue)
No ETB effects
3/3 for 4 mana

Pros:
Almost singlehandedly makes Purphoros a creature
Is basically like playing 3 Mountains in 1 turn if you have a Nykthos out
Is basically a 5/5 or 6/6 for 4 mana if you're in the spot to alpha strike
Becomes an immediate threat if you have a Hammer out
Makes your Fanatics punch for more
T3 Nykthos, BTE, BTE, Raiders.

The card is kind of a beatstick in this deck, but it's not always right for the job, which is why I run Mindsparker to swap in.

I think the Ancients need to become Wear // Tear but I've been too busy min-maxing my turbofog deck to check it out. Is it bad that I want to splash black for Slaughter Games?
