Heroic decks have been surfacing in SCG Opens, Grand Pries, and other competitions, and I was wanting to try my hand at making my own build of one. I chose R/W because one, I had the mana base for it already, and two you get some great Heroic synergistic cards.

White is obviously the main color in this brew and it is for good reason. White arguably has the best heroic creature and protection cards in standard. Mainly Phalanx Leader and Feat of Resistance. Many people believe that you need Phalanx Leader on the battlefield in order to win games, and honestly you don't. Yes he is a very powerful card in this deck and will put you over the top but I've won games with Favored Hoplite and Akroan Skyguard alone.

The Red in this deck has one of my favorite cards in this deck so far and it is Coordinated Assault . Being able to activate two Heroic abilities for one Red mana is insane. Plus you get +1/+0 and first strike on those creatures until end of turn. This will destroy other Heroic decks and monsters decks if your guy is big enough. Also Akroan Crusader is one card that you will play on turn one and your opponent won't really think a thing about it. Make him regret his decision by making a bunch of dudes that will get pumped by your spells or even Phalanx Leader . Also Akroan Crusader and its tokens combined with Launch the Fleet is quite insane, and if you have [[Phalanx Leader] out on the field you might as well say gg.
