A lifegain combo deck, probably to be used for casual play only. This thing ain't gonna be winning any tourneys anytime soon. My friends play Modern exclusively. "Victory through Indecision" because the Metamorph doesn't know if he wants to stay or go.
Current issues I want to address:- That
Genju of the Fields
really isn't doing much for me
I'm trying to stay relatively budget here ($100 or less) initially, which is why the deck doesn't have Serra's Ascendant in its current state.
Main Combo: Phyrexian Metamorph + Leonin Relic-Warder to trigger unlimited "When another creature enters the battlefield" effects.
Win Conditions:
1) Combo with Pandemonium on the field
2) Combo Main Phase 1 with Soul Sister + Ajani's Pridemate(s) on the field
3) Combo with Genesis Chamber on the field for Myr horde.
Optimal Scenario:
Turn 1: Plains + Soul Sister (Soul Warden/Soul's Attendant)
Turn 2: Plains + Leonin Relic-Warder
Turn 3: Land + Phyrexian Metamorph
Later Turns: Sit on fat life pool until win.
Creates an essentially unwinnable gamestate for opponent by Turn 3... unless they run infect, infinite damage combos, unique card-based win cons, etc etc etc.
Other Cards:
Honor of the Pure because I can't think of anything better at the moment.
Faithless Looting for cantrips.
Brave the Elements to protect the combo/set up alpha strikes.
Spectral Procession for breathing room and setting off Soul Sister and Ajani's Pridemate/Pandemonium triggers.
Probably not very good, but it's the first deck I've completely built from scratch that I'm not completely unhappy with.
Feel free to comment/criticize/offer suggestions.
Sideboard isn't final by any means.
