RWU, The Colors that Never Run

Commander / EDH

Roguecor

My personal Shu-Yun deck. Brewed beyond the cookie-cutter. This deck will slaughter a player LONG before they even think about pulling off that degenerate combo. You need to know who to kill, and how much time you have to kill them. I know this play-style can make someone mad at you for singling them out, but DO NOT deter from your target. It is how the deck was designed and is extremely effective at the hit-man style. Besides, you do not want to generate threat with multiple players at single time. It can handle multiple players at a time, but it is very resource intensive and moderately reduces your chances of 1st place in a group match.

The spells of the deck are meticulously tested and weighed vs other cards in their classes against all numbers of matchups from 1v1 to group 6 FFA. It took me along time to justify the CMC of Sunforger but I've nailed it down to where it can grab a solution to just about any problem you may run into in group magic.

The lands could use more money but they are just about there and work great as is. The only lands I would switch are the Temples for fast fetches. The bounce lands are necessary encase Shu Yun is Imprisoned in the Moon. The color ratios of mana production in the lands for the spells were considered and a lot of work was done on the ratios with considerations for devotions as well.

I use Force of Will but, Remand can be used in place for a cantrip or even Stubborn Denial which procs Shu Yun's prowess on cast enabling the Freocious ability of Stubborn Denial. Very flashy play, but I've tested Force of Will to beat out both of these and the deck occupies my only copy.

Shu Yun needs to be played with intent to kill. DO NOT cast Shu Yun because it is all you can do in a turn and feel compelled to be mana-efficient. If he gets removed you will LOSE efficientcy in the long run, especially if you still have to kill another player later in the match. He should be protected while on the field until you assemble a crushing blow in your hand + follow-up protective layer. You need to BECOME a monk. Dodge everything, strike with precision.

As said above, but with the token-generating creatures, they are FEW and far between. They are the means to generate a wall of blockers against players or slide around a single big blocker. Do not flood the board with these creatures. If you have multiple in hand, play one and milk it as long as you can. When it gets hosed or the board gets wiped, you'll be gland you saved the other one to fill in its place.

Timetwister would be amazing in here to "reload the clip" but I can't afford that quite frankly. I mention this because I have tried Day's Undoing and Time Spiral but they just don't do what needs to be done efficiently enough to demand a place in the deck. The closest to Timetwister in this deck was Commit/Memory but still did not do the effect efficiently enough.
