Goal: To win on the back of Geist with enchantment support from Zur and the classic UWR methods of bolting everything in your path. Although the deck does use Zur the Enchanter, it is built to be independently good without him.

How I Determined the Colors: I used red as the primary color because without red, Geist decks just aren't good enough. And with aggro strategies being the dominant part of the meta, bolt is better than before. Originally, only a small black splash was intended but instead, now I am opting for a small blue splash because all the blue cards are in the high CMC.

With black, you get proactive spells like Inquisition and Thoughtseize. That gets well balanced with the reactive spells that red has to offer. I find that UWR often have awkward hands because all the cards are too reactive and counterspells in Modern just aren't up to par. For instance, remand is a good tempo card but is terrible against this aggro heavy meta.

Struggles: 1) how to optimize the mana base 2) how to reduce the number of 3 drops, for less clunkier hands 3) whether to run a board wipe, dark confidant, a Tasigur, and a path to exile.
