Deck has been dismantled but not forgotten, it's still a ferocious monster to compete with, but I needed a lot of the components to make my new "for fun, but done right" deck:rending-the-world-of-tarkir
Went back up to four maindeck denials, probably should've never gone below four in the first place, but owell. Also brought in a third Shaman of the Great Hunt, the card just does so much work for me. Sagu Mauler is an underrated card in my opinion, a 6/6 trample, hexproof for 6 with the added benefit of morph, though I rarely want to morph it and hard casting it is tough without my dorks. Even so, I fear removing it from the deck will leave my Rattleclaws worse-off, without the mind games of "it could be a mauler" when I morph them.
Looking a pair of Mana Confluence for this deck when I put it back together, nothing screws up this deck more than missing a color. I know I've put myself in a bad spot of straddling all three colors fairly evenly, but the deck has all the power, efficiency, and interaction making it the ferocious beast that it is.
Can't wait to see what Dragons of Tarkir brings to the table for this deck, especially the lands....yes, something sounds very wrong about that. I'm an admitted dragon-fanatic, and the competetive side of me is more excited at the prospect of new nonbasic lands (enemy fetches, PLEASE!) than the Dragons in DRAGONS of Tarkir. And unlike Dragon's Maze (when I wasn't playing), they've actually promised us lots of dragons in this one. Though I am certainly looking forward to said dragons as well, hoping for some cost-effective rare/mythic bombs in my colors. Somewhere in the 3-5 mana range with 4+ power please...and haste!
