Guilds of Ravnica Rotation —Sept. 19, 2018
Standard is FINALLY rotating, which is great; I, for one, am not going to miss Amonkhet. However, Kaladesh had a pretty substantial toolkit for this deck, which means this is going to get a pretty huge overhaul. This is the list of cards that this deck is going to lose:
Aether Hub Arborback Stomper Blooming Marsh Bristling Hydra Doomfall Fatal Push Glint-Sleeve Siphoner Gonti, Lord of Luxury Hashep Oasis Lost Legacy Verdurous Gearhulk Yahenni, Undying Partisan
Uffdah.
The good news is that Golgari is getting ton of new toys in GRN, and I'm considering branching into Sultai or Jund for bonus graveyard shenanigans. I'll be experimenting with a few builds of this to see what's the most viable.

I have no intention of updating a deck that I only play casually until the format rotates, but I appreciate the suggestions.

Ahh no worries then. I figured with the layout and how everything was described you were trying to get something going. Have a good one!

Yeah, I'm probably just a little too enthusiastic, haha. I did check out your deck though, and it looks legit. Definitely gave me some ideas of where I might want to take this once Kaladesh and Amonkhet go away.

Hey I like the idea and think you are going in the right direct it just requires a bit more polishing. If you aren't interested in running red or blue than I'd highly suggest Dark Bargain for card draw. Gives you two to your hand and one more into your grave all at instant speed. Dusk legion is okay but I feel like overall it's a relatively low impact card. The fact it dies to the wind blowing the wrong way immediately after hitting the board it just has no real impact. I'd put lanowar elves in their place as that gives you the ramp needed for a turn two brontodon or journey which I can't emphasize how important that is. Pelakka wurm I feel like is an absolute must have in this deck as well. Arborback is cool and all but the wurm is far more value. Enters gain 7 sac to temple gain 7 and draw a card. Weather it's to block or attack with its always the same outcome 14 life and a extra card. That puts you out of range for nearly every deck and situation. Kinda of the same thing with Ravenous I would replace a couple with Noxious Gearhulk. The value for Noxious is just absolutely insane. Kill a creature gain some life it isn't just a 2/2 it's a 5/4 with menace. I feel like you have just a little bit of an answer to problems with you listed with a sideboard but no 3 or 4 of's drastically reduces your chance of pull one. Doom fall is a terrible card for one big reason. If you are after removal and your opponent even has two creatures on the board they get to choose what the Sac. In some cases this might be useful because both hurt equally as bad in most cases I feel like doom fall wouldn't resolve or wouldn't matter. For hand hate it's not bad but duress, divest, harsh scrutiny all hit the opponents hand for 1 mana. Another reason I love red in this deck is because Abrade is godly it doesn't hit enchantments but that's what brontodon is for (which I would definitely run 3 or 4 of those).
Anyways just my thoughts my jund deck can be found on my profile if you are interested in some ideas and such.
