I would recommend Sultai Emissary. Idk exactly what to take out. Carrier Thrall is nice because you can use the token for getting to Mob Rule quicker but I think the emissary would be most useful getting a better creature out potentially. And all else fails you get a 2/2 instead of a 1/1.

LoPro77: hmm, I see your point, but I've never really liked the idea of manifest cards - I've also never really tried them. It definitely seems like something worth trying, though.

I've been questioning how many Voracious Null should be in this deck, if any at all. Nantuko Husk's sacrifice is free of any mana cost, which makes it the all-star of this deck, and casting it costs the same amount of mana as Voracious Null. Maybe we can just pull out Voracious Null for Sultai Emissary. How many Sultai Emissary do you think would be ideal?

I like the concept (I have one like this myself: The Yasova Way Returns) but this could do with a few more steal outlets. What about Jeering Instigator for a 3 mana instant speed steal? (can be a 3 for 1 against small attackers).

DaftVader I've been thinking about doing that, but I'm not sure what to remove. I'm not really sure about how many Zulaport Cutthroat I should take anymore, and I've been wondering about taking out a land, since there are Carrier Thralls that can help with mana. Thanks for the suggestion! I will try and fit in Jeering Instigator

DaftVader I just remembered my problem with Jeering Instigator, actually. It's the part that says "if it's your turn"

I had not noticed that, thank you... Even so, it might be worth it over Blazing Hellhound.

Have you thought about running [liliana, heretical healer] in this? I have a very similar deck idea that stays mono-black, but splashes red and or blue in the board thanks to being able to fetch the new lands. I haven't run it in a tournament yet, but it get's great results at fnm's and against my friends. I hadn't thought about running collateral damage, though, that's a good idea. Against control shell's, a [treasure cruise] is something to think about. Also, remember that the [Grim Haruspex] triggers even through a board wipe... So, if you have him and two other creatures on the board, you would get to draw two cards if someone were to drop a languish. Also, don't forget about the almighty [hangarback walker]. It's a beast in a deck with a good sac engine. If you get a chance, check out my mono-black for this and let me know what you think.

schambers: I've thought about running Liliana, Heretical Healer  Flip, but I only have one copy and don't want to pay ~$25 for another. In the games that I've been able to use it in with this deck, it's helped out, though I'm not 100% sure how much, and if it outweighs the value of other cards. I'd like to keep this deck as budget-friendly as possible, which is also why I am not using any Hangarback Walkers. I think it'd be a great card in this deck, and I'd probably use it over the Carrier Thralls, but it is much too expensive for me (especially since I currently own 0 copies).

As for splashing in other colours, I like the idea but taking things out is where it starts to get tricky. What I was seriously considering before was splashing white (which would make switching lands around easier with budget-friendly options like Nomad Outpost) and making it easier to deal with enchantments. Utter End was the main reason why I wanted to do this, but I also think Butcher of the Horde would be a very strong card in this deck (maybe even better than Blazing Hellhound or Nantuko Husk).

I also think I want to add one more Grim Haruspex, so that the deck has 3. I've come to realize that I really like this card in this deck, and it does help (at least somewhat) against board clears like you said. Thanks for the comment! I appreciate the help.
