Use counter spells and hand disruption to protect the combo and stop Surgical Extractions and the like.

Transmute Muddle the Mixture to get Heartless Summoning or Myr Retriever , Trinket Mage and Fabricate to get Altar of the Brood, and Jarad's Orders to get one Myr Retriever in the yard and one into your hand.

Land base can be upgraded but it's supposed to be budget. Change as your wallet can manage.
