Lands? —Oct. 7, 2020

I'm kinda curious how adding a land or two would work here. This deck runs best with Zur out, and wants him out early and at all times, so mana is pretty important here, and since Zur can fetch Necro, I don't necessarily need to worry about a ramp/land heavy hand, I can make that work still usually. I find the deck plays quite well on draws of all lands and ramp, especially vs decks that can kill Zur a few times. A Swamp would be an obvious pick, since I run slightly less black mana (I just don't think Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is worth including in a budget oriented build). Some sort of fetch might be nice, even a Bant or Grixis Panorama would probably be solid, though a proper fetch would be better obviously, even without old Duals.

Based on the numbers I ran, the Check lands are just barely viable atm, as I've pulled some basics out. That's why I'd like more basic lands, because those and Back to Basics really benefit from having some around, and BtB is a key fetch for Zur. 2 more basics would help my mana base a lot I think, maybe a Plains and Swamp.
