You might want to also get an Outpost Siege in here, so even when hazezon does accidentally kill his tokens, you can still inflict pain.

Because Hazezon Tamar says "When Hazezon leaves the battlefield, exile all Sand Warriors." wouldn't that mean attacking equiped with Blade of Selves makes it instantly exile all sand warriors due to legend rule?

704.5k If a player controls two or more legendary permanents with the same name, that player chooses one of them, and the rest are put into their owners graveyards. This is called the legend rule.
That should go for every clone effect on Hazezon Tamar? token clone is put into graveyard after it comes into play, hence it left the battlefield.

Gladjolt,
The deal with Haz' (in this deck, anyways) is to sac' him or return him to hand the same turn I drop him. The Sand Warriors show up the next turn regardless, but since Haz' has already LTB, they don't get exiled.
So Blade of Selves is perfect (assuming I've already set up a haste effect and have more than one opponent at the time). Drop Haz', equip, and attack with the Blade. That creates two extra Haz' tokens (if I still had 3 opponents at the time). Legend rule instantly kills two of the three Haz's, but I can choose to kill the original and one of the tokens, leaving the second token to get exiled at end of combat due to Myriad. So I've had three Haz' ETB triggers. Which means 3x the Sand Warriors on the next turn. This only works with 11 lands (7 for Haz' and 4 to Equip) or more, so that means 33+ Sand Warriors on the next turn.
Cool, huh?

Nightdragon779,
Outpost Siege could be interesting. It kind of fits between Vicious Shadows and Goblin Bombardment. I'm not sure I need more direct damage effects, but I'll keep it on the short list for sure.
Thanks!

Gladjolt,
And yeah, the Legend rule gives the same effect with Flameshadow Conjuring. It's an extra ETB and sac' in one.

CosmicTurban,
Thanks again for your thoughts and perspectives! It's great to know I'm not the only one who goes back and forth on some of these cuts, and it makes me feel like the deck may finally be "getting there" :-)

clayperce Aaah thanks for the explanation :) He seems really fun.

Cant tell you how many times The Great Aurora has won me a game. This deck should be throwing stuff on the board twice as fast as everyone else and you can use that to your advantage! In all the games where I've ramped myself out of cards, its pulled me out of that corner and in to the lead! I would say its worth a try even as a last ditch save the day move.I've updated my Naya Landfall and Ghost Town with Burgeoning have made many a land fall. Thanks for the suggestions!

Ricktus,
I see how the The Great Aurora could be really good. I'm not used to having enough mana to run something like that, but Haz' makes it easy!
So glad to hear Ghost Town and Burgeoning are working out for you!
Thanks so much!

Nice looking deck. I don't see many fellow Hazezon players.
If you're ever looking for a few new additions, I would suggest a Martyr's Bond. It makes your sac outlets just that much more powerful.
I know you said you weren't looking for much creature pump, but there are 2 creatures with extra utility that could be considered. Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite and Balefire Liege. Norn makes your Warstorm Surge hit considerably harder, and weakens your oppenent as well. In some cases, she prevents your opponent from playing their Commander. The Liege is nice because of the free life gain and free Lightning Bolt.
Your deck already looks pretty solid, so I don't have any cards you should take out. If you're over displeased with a card you already have, that's what these suggestions are for lol.

Hey!
You were asking about ramp cards. The main thing I can see that I would do differently is wood elves over farhaven elf.
Wood elves is better mainly because the land comes in untapped. Also it gets better with more dual lands.
Other than that, earthcraft is amazing if you can find one.

teh_wad,
Thanks much, both for the kudos and for the suggestions! I like the Martyr's Bond for sure. Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite is brutal and would be a great add if go for more pump. Just wish she was almost anything but a 7-drop slot! I like all the Lieges too, and especially the Balefire.
Blitzak,
Thanks for checking it out, I really appreciate it! Yeah, that makes sense on Wood Elves, that I need the speed more than the fixing. And yes, Earthcraft would be awesome. I went ahead and added it to my trade binder as a Want :-)
Thanks again to you both!

If you have a ETB theme in the deck, have you thought about the new Eerie Interlude (You don't have to flicker all the creatures you control like Ghostway does)?

Phaetion,
That sounds awesome; thanks tons for pointing it out!
Also kudos to you for mentioning an officially spoiled card, instead of one of the leaks!

Jeremiah_Von_Pringleton,
Yeah, I've been going back and forth on Eldrazi Displacer. I just can't figure out which of my #ETB_Abuse cards to pull for it. I'd love any thoughts you might have!

Blade of Selves seem neat and all but it requires you to attack with the creature and when you are down to one opponent or had only one to start with in the first place it's useless. Eldrazi Displacer can be used on command to trigger an etb, save a creature from removal, keep an opponents creature tapped and summoning sick, and even trigger someone else's etb creature if you want to get political. I am also considering it for The Lords of Strife because of its versatility. Some lands to consider too because thay are good and they make mana for Displacer: Gavony Township, Temple of the False God, Battlefield Forge, Brushland, Karplusan Forest, Homeward Path, and Reliquary Tower.

Jeremiah_Von_Pringleton,
Last night, I was thinking Blade of Selves was probably my weakest ... and seeing your thoughts on it just confirmed. Blade out. Displacer in. And thanks tons!
I don't really need additional colorless (I've got 9 sources + 3 any-land fetches). If I end up needing another, it'll probably be a High Market to compliment the City of Shadows. And if possible, I'd actually like to drop a couple ... this deck wants LOTS of fetch-able basics.
I'm not trying to slam your Land recommendations here, they're great recommendations for most decks. But here are my thoughts for this one:
- I ran Gavony Township with Rith for a while and have never regretted pulling it. I seemed to always have something better to do with ... and that was in a deck with more +1/+1 counter synergy than this.
- I know lots of folks like Temple of the False God, but I'm not a fan at all. I hate drawing it early, and rarely wish for it late.
- The pain lands are awesome for most decks, but like I said, fetch-able basics are better here (mostly because Haz' wants max lands, but also for the Landfall triggers).
- Homeward Path is probably my favorite Land with Rith, but this deck has enough sac' outlets and Flicker effects that I don't really need it.
- And unless I add a big draw package or my meta changes I unfortunately don't need Reliquary Tower. That said, there's a guy who keeps talking about building Selvala, Explorer Returned, and I strongly suspect I'll need the card within a couple weeks of Conspiracy II release this summer.
I ALWAYS appreciate your thoughts (e.g., I'll never forget that you were the person who taught me about Reconnaissance) so thanks tons for dropping by and commenting!

Well I suppose I'd have to agree with you on Cloudshift being great because of its cost and its instant speed. I'm not saying it's bad. It looks amazing in your deck, but in terms of all the cards that do the same thing, this only does it once. The instant speed can definitely be just what you need sometimes. I'm not saying you should drop it, just that Whitemane Lion, Stonecloaker, and Restoration Angel seem stronger. As for Yavimaya Elder, I like it more every time I see it, so I'm starting to see your point. At the risk of sounding like a hypocrit, I'll have to backtrack on my statement and say that it seems better than Farhaven Elf and Cultivate even if it is more expensive. Also, I didn't see it before, but I think Cloudshift beats Liberate.
