Hi clayperce, it's me again, the idiot with the other, stupider Hazezon deck.
You could always Radiate that Shields of Velis Vel! In fact, once I manage to acquire a Shields, it's going in my deck with Radiate!
I'll go back to my padded cell now...

ardilly,
Sorry but yours is NOT the stupider deck ... I love the HMS Tamar!
But watch out with Radiate ... it's not a "may" effect so will target you too!

Circle of Protection: White? Brings the total cost up to 7: W for Shields of Velis Vel, RR3 for Radiate, then 1 to activate the Circle against the Shields that targets yourself?
The deck itself may not be stupid, but I'm a fan of stupid interactions. See my stupid dream in Dan Brown: EDH Edition for reference: Starfield of Nyx + Demonic Pact + a bunch more enchantments + Conjurer's Closet for recurring, non-suicidal Demonic Pacting. So delicate to keep in place, but it would be amazing to pull off even just once.

Is there a reason you don't run Ogre Battledriver? I find he contributes heavily to the "win the turn the Haz tokens come down" plan. Also, if you're looking for draw I highly recommend Slate of Ancestry. With so much ramp you can reliably dump your hand, and with so many tokens it basically says 4,t: draw a billion cards.
If you've already tried and rejected these I'd love to know the reasoning.

ardilly,
Yeah that combo's just a little too clunky for my preferences.
If you like fragile combos, your might try Life and Limb + Sporemound sometime, for infinite Saprolings and mana. I run it with Rith periodically and have yet to pull it off, but it's always exhilarating to try (one boardwipe with Life and Limb out and you're DONE!) ...

hellmo,
Ogre Battledriver is a fine card for many Haz' decks, but would be kind of out of place here ... this deck is focused more on heavy ETB and direct damage effects and less on token pump, compared to a more "typical" Haz' build.
And yeah, Slate of Ancestry is great. I run it with Rith, but with all the Landfall in this deck, Seer's Sundial is a little better here.
Thanks and draw well!

clayperce I found you some tokens for Hazezon. Sand token

Jeremiah_Von_Pringleton,
Oh, those are really well done. Is there a Sand Warrior though? I saw the Sand token, but it's for Dune-Brood Nephilim :-(
Still, I may have to add it to my collection anyways!

You could look at running High Market / Miren, the Moaning Well here. And I'm not just saying that to test the suggestions counter :P

enpc,
I actually had High Market for a while, but pulled it for City of Shadows. I hadn't even looked at Miren, the Moaning Well though ... I'll give it a hard look. Thanks much (also seriously)!

wlbreda,
Thanks much for the suggestions!
Crucible of Worlds is an amazing card, but way too expensive. Like I mention above: "The deck is in a really weird place budget-wise. I had a few of the pricey cards already, and made a couple big trades to get Hazezon and the others. But from here on out, I'm back to my normal budget: Any card over $5 has to be really good, and $15 is my absolute max."
I've had Cloudstone Curio on my Maybeboard forever, but never thought about using it with Aluren. It would be insane if Hazezon was CMC 3, but I'd need to get Flickerwisp to really abuse it. And though Eternal Witness and Wood Elves work with it of course, it just seems a little unreliable.
Gift of Immortality would work with a bunch of my creatures, but it doesn't work well with Hazezon. Like I mention above, the idea is to "Get as many ETB triggers out of Haz' as possible, then sac' him or return him to hand that same turn (so he can't accidentally exile all his dudes)." I'd need some Instant-speed Enchantment removal to get rid of the Gift during the end step, or he'd be back again. And while that might work out (for example, if I can sac' all his Sand Warriors for value before the beginning of the next end step), it seems a little unreliable too.
Thanks much though!

Sorry about Crucible of Worlds, I must confess I have not read your description.
Yes, after "Playtest" your deck, I saw Flameshadow Conjuring + Flickerwisp is enough. The copy exile the original, then you have this continuously at all next end step. It made me think of Flameshadow Conjuring + Worldgorger Dragon . Worldgorger Dragon enter the battlefield, you pay , exile all, put the copy, exile original, return all untapped (here is my question, I think that returns all untapped), then sac or exile the copy (like Flickerwisp or Evolutionary Leap), return original, you pay , all again. I'm wrong? This is an infinite combo of ETB to Haz?
Yes, after "Playtest" I saw that Gift of Immortality is weak. Tawnos's Coffin could be better, maybe.

My version: Hazezon Tamar of Naya. The cards will be proxies 100%, so no expenses spared. Have not played with the deck yet, I'm joining the cards. Can you take a look? Please.

wlbreda,
You asked about Flameshadow Conjuring
+
Worldgorger Dragon
...
Yes, it's an infinite combo and yes, the Lands return as normal (i.e., basic Lands ETB untapped and cards like Mirrorpool ETB tapped). It's a risky combo though, as an opponent's removal spell at the wrong time can permanently exile all your stuff. Some folks explain it better than I possibly could over on the EDH subreddit.

HarroHunter,
Yeah, that's a really slick one-sided wipe! I ended up not running it because it needs a little bit of set-up, it only hits one opponent, and I generally like targeted removal better than wipes (as kind of a personal thing within my group). But it's right on the edge of my maybeboard, so I look forward to hearing how it works out for you!
