RedDeckDrags I just changed the deck type to Modern, and TappedOut says it's still legal.
I don't think this would be a very good Modern deck, though. That format is very fast, and this deck is midrange.
Also, Modern cards like Lightning Bolt are far superior to Lightning Strike.

Argy,
Thx for the deck report; sounds like some great games. And Fight with Fire for 10 is just priceless!
Cheers!

Skyler1776 I think you need to ensure that you take a look at the Sideboard for decks, not just the Mainboard.

Why should it be in the Mainboard, according to you?
Red Aggro is a mono deck built by Pros.
You will see that it has 3x Lava Coil in its Sideboard, like I do.
Lava Coil only deals damage to Creatures, and only does the same damage as Spit Flame.
Spit Flame damages at Instant speed, and can be recurred. Lava Coil cannot.
Lava Coil doesn't have the flexibility that Fight with Fire has.
The advantage that Lava Coil has it that it can Exile Creatures like Rekindling Phoenix.
Since it is inferior to the other Non-Creature spells (I am not going to go through each of them to explain why), it is only brought in to answer a specific threat.
Hence, its correct place is in the Sideboard.

Skyler1776 I am not going to respond to any more of your questions. I will just delete them.
They don't seem to be genuine as you did not respond to the question I asked of you.
If you have a suggestion for this deck then state your case for it and I may choose to respond.

Hi there! I'm currently building a similar deck to this one. Do you find value in using sarkhans whelp? 3 cmc 2/2 seems too expensive for that ability? How often do you get that value from the whelp? And skarrgan is also in my maybeboard, have u tried it? and if so, how good was it in a dragon deck?

murrymack link cards so that I can see what they do.
Sarkhan's Whelp is primarily in the deck to trigger Dragon's Hoard and Lathliss, Dragon Queen .
It is often Sided out.
Link "skarrgan". Until you do that I can't comment on it.

Deface Would add a way to deal with artifacts and worse case scenario you can use it to crack open your own eggs. I play a deck with dragon eggs in it and always find a use for the two deface I run main deck. If I don't need help cracking eggs or busting up artifacts I just side them out.

Hey. I really enjoy playing this deck, but I primarily play MTG Arena where bo1 is the most popular format. It seems like it kinda struggles into decks like mono white aggro and mono blue tempo (and midrange golgari as previously mentioned) without swapping from the side deck. I came up with a Rakdos version with the new Ravnica Allegiance cards and was wondering what you thought of it. I swapped Dismissive Pyromancer for Rix Maadi Reveler to smooth your draws because I feel like the mana sink and tapping your defender is too slow; and you also can sometimes pull off a sneaky draw 2 or 3 with the spectacle. And threw in a few Ritual of Soot s to deal with buffed tokens and even big cards like Hydroid Krasis and Gatebreaker Ram

Panda I can't see that Deface will offer me the flexibility that Shock does.
At best it would be a Sideboard card, but there aren't enough Artifacts or Creature being played in my local meta to justify it over the other Sideboard cards I have.
feedingjungler I'm glad that going suits your playstyle but that's not how I play this deck.
It's all Mountains to give me extra cards to discard to Sarkhan, Fireblood and Dismissive Pyromancer . All also facilitates an early Shock .

definitely think the new Sarkhan the Masterless in spark of the war and Bolt Bend are strong additions

feedingjungler what would you remove for them ie. What cards are they better than?
You may not have noticed that I don't play Standard any longer.

Golgari is the most difficult match up. Just a fact. The only way to win against it is through timing pat excellence, and some luck.
I can't put together Sideboard at the moment because I am on holidays and my internet access is limited to extremely infrequent posts.
I don't have the capacity to playtest.
My guess would be that Izzet Drakes would be the same Sideboard as Izzet Control.
Link me to a deck. Without looking at one it is impossible for me to advise you how to proceed.
