Big Angel Tribal

or

Big Powerful Ladies With Even Bigger Swords

Slowly build a board presence, gain control over the battlefield and start pounding away at the enemy (or, enemies). The goal of this deck is to build a strong base, and after assuring you have redundancy and protection, to drop down winged bombs that your opponents will throw all their resources at to get rid of.

Late game, these warriors are fantastic defenders - considering their massive size and threatening disposition - so use them to attack decisively, or hold back when needed. This deck is resilient, a blast to pilot, and picks up speed well for having an extensive high end to its curve.

Every Angel that is in here is here because they each serve a unique purpose, giving you the ability to adapt your responses and allow you to take games out of nowhere. Need to deny that really disgusting black deck their unholy pleasures, or just tell Korvold no? Angel of Jubilation does the job. Low on life but a full board? Lyra Dawnbringer or Angelic Skirmisher. You need a Settle the Wreckage? Yeah, no. Settle the Wreckage that costs three more, on a body? That's more like it: Angel of the Dire Hour.

This deck can also, by nature and design, invite a high degree of politics into the game. You can tend to have a slow start to games, so use that to your advantage, with the plethora of unique effects and removal you have access to. If your playgroup is strong, use the slow start to appear vulnerable and play smart and reactive. On the other hand, if your opponents aren't as tuned or are off their game, offer help, give ground tactically, and control the table. Bargain damage, trade favors, bluff and misdirect, and use your commander as an incentive or a reward.

Disclaimer: this deck has a tendency to become the Archenemy. So, if you see yourself playing that part often, you might as well play it well.

Since most of these seraphim are also quite an investment to cast, here's a bunch of cards devoted to making sure they land and stick.

Not much more explaining needed here. Stay healthy, stay safe.

Lots of this fun stuff. Hate your creatures dying? Me too! Want to get them back? Here's how!

Gotta go fast. Opens up a wonderful avenue for mind games and tricks, and frees up new lines of play. Blue mana? Never heard of it.

Every card in here has a purpose, and not just to be a body to throw fists. Here are some fantastic cards that didn't quite make the cut, but someone else might like to try out.

The more straightforward ones:

Interesting mechanics, but for one reason or another, don't quite fit in:

(Life keeps me busy, but I intend to come in here at some point and add reasons and explanations for all the cards listed in the accordion above. Feel free to follow, +1 the deck, leave a comment, and check back in the future for more!)
