It goes without saying that if you can get your hands on some Dragonskull Summit s it will get better, I suggested them because they are cheap, or at least cheaper than other dual lands right now... :)

Although I do really like the evolving wilds for searing blaze on their turn.

Glad to see you're trying out the Raid Bombardment s. :-D
A friend of mine had a deck based around Kiln Fiend and Spitfires and that card just kind of tied it all together. Kiln Fiend into Spitfire into Raid Bombardment and Lightning Bolt on Turn 4, quite a sight to see.

Intangible Virtue , Oblivion Ring , Gather the Townsfolk , Urabrask the Hidden , and Beckon Apparition come to mind. otherwise it looks ok.

If you're going for damage primarily from Hellrider 's noncombat damage and Chandra's Spitfire being buffed because of it, you're going to want to focus on more of a token aspect than anything else.
Hero of Bladehold I understand is expensive, but it's definitely a good pick. Although Hellrider's ability won't trigger on the soldiers entering the battlefield, but that still gives you more attackers for the next turn which results in more damage. An alternative to Hero of Bladehold can definitely be Midnight Haunting or Raise the Alarm .
An Urabrask the Hidden would be another great addition to this deck because it means your tokens can attack the turn they enter the battlefield which mean Hellrider is dealing more damage faster. And because you're going to be primarily wanting to use tokens, Intangible Virtue will not only bolster your tokens strength but also leave them capable of blocking during your opponent's turn after what's likely to be a full swing for maximum damage.
I also think that you might want to reconsider some of your other creature choices. Student of Warfare really isn't worth the amount of mana you'll be paying into him if your main source of damage is going to be Hellrider and Chandra's Spitfire, and Mogg Sentry looks nice because of it's one mana cost, but I feel he's better off as a blocker than as an attacker. I would suggest Goblin Guide or Raging Goblin over the Sentry and Goblin Fireslinger over the Student. The Fireslinger will give you a little bit of utility in picking off small creatures as well as dealing a bit of damage to the opponent which will boost the Spitfire a little more.
I would also suggest things like Lightning Bolt or Shock to deal with any of your opponent's creatures that might be big enough to block your tokens and minimize the amount of damage you'll be dealing with Hellrider. In a pinch, you can also use them to burn your opponent for a faster kill with Hellrider's damage or the Spitfire. You may even want to consider a few Fling s for some additional postcombat damage after your Spitfire's beefy from the Hellrider damage.

I made some more changes, bringing back tokens, but this time using Raise the Alarm and Gather the Townsfolk over the spirit spells to keep turn 3 mana open for Chandra's Spitfire . I also put the Lightning Bolt s back in, because I forgot this is a red deck and every red deck needs 4.

nice ideas there Akroma, i hadn't even thought of the goblins

So is Guide better than Rampaging? Also have you looked at Dismember? I like it because it takes care of what bolt doesn't and in a pinch gets you closer to Fateful Hour.

Goblin Guide is 1/1 stronger than Raging Goblin , which helps get your opponent to zero that much faster. It's a toss up between whether or not you want your opponent having better access to his or her lands though. Also, Raging Goblin is considerably cheaper than Goblin Guide is in case you're finding yourself on a budget.

That's why he's not in here. I just don't think I want them having a chance at snagging land when I'm trying to outrun them early game. The only reason Path to Exile is ok is because 1 mana to exile a titan is fine by me, they can have a stupid land. Also, Guides are a bit priceyish.

agreed akroma. besides, it's not like guide puts it into play. if it's not a land, you get to see their next draw. if it is, they get their draw a turn early. if it put it into play i would see this as a serious problem, but if you can afford them, i'd definately run the guides.

So I just went out to my LGS and got some Hellriders and made this deck I had Sacred Foundries , Arid Mesas, and G Guides that I could throw in and it is freaking fun to play. I have a meta-relevant sideboard but I'm gonna try it as a casual Modern deck. Kudos Zeebadeeb.
February 24, 2012 1:30 p.m.
That's awesome. How many other decks did you play against? Were able to win on turn 5/6, or shortly thereafter?

I'm not sure if Hero of Bladehold 's ability activates the Raid Bombardment , the hero puts tokens attacking, but I don't know if they are declared as attackers, can someone correct me please?

OmegaSerris says... #20
No, they don't. "When ~ attacks" is triggers by the act of declaring it attacking. The tokens are never declared, they just come into play that way. Next turn they will, however. And Hero is such an awesome card, that bit of incompatibility can be ignored. ;-)
February 25, 2012 11:08 a.m.
Even if Hero of Bladehold doesn't interact well with Raid Bombardment , she still grants your attackers the battle cry bonus and by turn four, you ideally have at least two or three (or five?) creatures on board that should be hitting for a decent amount. The only problem you're going to find though with Bladehold is that she's expensive and thus some what hard to get a hold of if you're planning on trading for your set.

I order from Cape Fear Games. I just got done playing with this deck, and won 4 out of 5 against a Demon deck featuring morbid nonsense and heavy removal. 3 of the 5 games I won on turn 5, the other on 6. The game I lost I just couldn't overcome the removal. Go for the Throat and Royal Assassin combined with 2 Reaper from the Abyss by turn 6 due to Semblance Anvil is hard in such a creature based-deck.

WOOOW, this is a nice deck, +1 from me!!!
Should you help me with mine please?

I played with this deck for quite a while last night, and I really must say it's pretty broken. I consistently win on turn 5, sometimes even turn 4, and I won a game on turn 6 with an 87 damage combat phase. :/ If you don't have an answer to either Chandra's Spitfire or Hellrider for the turn 4/5 swing, you lose. Fling is ridiculous. You're going to block my 30/3 spitfire? Ok, we'll I'm gonna pay 2 and toss it at your face. Also, finally made the switch from Raging Goblin to Goblin Guide . That turned out to be huge. I'm so happy with this deck, it works so well, and it's hilarious.

Also, although I didn't list it as such, this deck IS Legacy legal, as most decks are. Updated the listing, as if it really mattered.
