Hmmm Betrayal of flesh?
Also you thought of putting in a Sorin Markov or Maelstrom Pulse ? Both so expensive but also so smexy
June 23, 2011 11:50 p.m.
i probably wont put sorin in, but maelstrom pulse is on the acquire board as well :Pi'll just dump those into the maybes.
June 24, 2011 9:55 a.m.
maybes are now either what i would put in if i had it, or what i own but have found it to be lacking.

Probably old hat to say this, but have you considered Massacre Wurm ? I think it would work well with not only taking out small fries but boosting Savra's effects as well.

@canas
Trust me, if i had a Massacre Wurm , it'd be in here.
@viet
yeah, it's banned, and i take it out for Sengir Nosferatu when im playing outside of my usual meta: we allow "banned" cards so long as we don't break them. I dont generate loops with Protean Hulk , i just use him as a fatty blocker that fetches, that's all.I had used Sheoldred, Whispering One for a while, but found her too slow or too big a target. she ends up being more of a liability, in that she draws board sweepers, than a utility. she's in my deck:tresserhorn-enjoyment-edh deck though.

I'd put some symbiotic stuff in there, like your Mitotic Slime in your maybeboard :)
Take a look at Symbiotic Beast or Symbiotic Wurm .
August 10, 2011 10:02 a.m.
@Syl, what would I take out? The problem with the symbiotes is that they only give creatures and little else, and they are conditional to them being removed in the first place. Would Deranged Hermit be good take-out for the Symbiotic Wurm ? See, i like creatures that give me tokens at come-into-play speed. I don't want to need a sac outlet to get the tokens on demand. Does that make sense?

I think Phyrexian Tower would be a good addition to the land base for this deck.
August 10, 2011 2:54 p.m.
@ Rhad,
Yes it would. I've been scouring ebay for a deal on one for a while. I'm trying to see if I can get a hold of one for less than like 2 bucks.
August 10, 2011 3:10 p.m.
@yyuyyy For what purpose? To avoid board sweepers? I can't imagine taking anything out currently just for that. It would save only my non-tokens anyways...

card:Colfenor's Urn seems like it would be good with ten of your creatures (and alarmingly awesome with Avenger of Zendikar , Butcher of Malakir , Grave Titan , Indrik Stomphowler , Protean Hulk , and Woodfall Primus ).
Scavenging Ooze also seems like a great low casting cost creature (which the deck is pretty low on) with a great activated ability, and would be great with Doubling Season .
Doubling Season seems bad if you have any thing with persist in play. Woodfall Primus would be less awesome as a 4/4, and Puppeteer Clique will just dies as soon as it hits the battlefield. It makes sense with the rest of the deck, just not these two cards, which may make them worth cutting.
August 12, 2011 2:24 p.m.
wow, this deck looks sick. do you ever find that you need to protect savra from spot removal? i guess it depends on your meta but i'd run lightning greaves and/or swiftfootboots in my playgroup. those are cards i am never unhappy to see.
other miscellaneous suggestions: blade of the bloodchief, cauldron of souls (seconded), oversold cemetery, death denied, spawning pit.
August 12, 2011 3:04 p.m.
Yeah thanks for pointing out the Urn, i'd never seen that before. I'll proxy it and see how it works, I'm not sure what to cut for it though. I also like my cards going to the yard, and if someone knocks off my urn with any of those cards you mentioned RFG'd with it, im gonna be a sad panda.
regarding Doubling Season , it's probably my favorite card ever printed (aside from maybe Savra herself), but I have considered cutting it. It is less utility and more of a "Win More" card, in that if it is functioning and making itself worth a card slot, I probably have good enough control that I don't even need the doubled counters/tokens. That said, there ain't no way I'm taking out the primus OR the clique, since they are just in general such badass cards.
Thanks for the comment!

@rt29I'm working on Oversold Cemetery :PI've pondered Death Denied , does it work well? I'm never in a position to dump lots of mana on creature recursion, plus I tend to shy away from sorceries if I can help it (though I realize it doesn't look like it ha).
RE: protecting Savra. Uhm, in my meta I've yet to have a very hard time keeping the board clear OR with Savra being hated. The most I've paid for her to cast is...12 mana I think? I've got Lightning Greaves in here currently, but I doubt I'll drop Swiftfoot Boots into it any time soon. I have no idea what I'd take out!

card:Colfenor's Urn is one of those things I would want to sac stuff to get them in it. You have plenty of sac outlets, so it seemed worth mentioning. Especially with persist, you could sac Woodfall Primus to do a thing, persist it back, sac it again, card:Colfenor's Urn it, then bring it back at end of turn to do again.
Doubling Season is great, but it works against two cards in the deck.
August 12, 2011 3:54 p.m.
Basically, I'm going to drop Doubling Season if it doesn't seem to be bringing much to the deck, not because it doesn't synergize well with 2 out of 100 cards.
I will likely end up getting a card:Colfenor's Urn, if nothing else just to test it out. It seems like shenanigans would be easy to pull with it, but I could also get hit pretty hard with it. Shattering Pulse and the like would make that card virtually useless/anti-useful. I would hate to RFG my creatures to it, just to have it blown up.

you thought of putting a Grave Pact in this deck? seems perfect for this deck with all the tokens you sacrifice.
