Love the concept! Have you considered AEther Snap and Thief of Blood for more ways of triggering dark depths?

Oh, no! Those look sweet! I think I'll put aether snap in with the board wipes and I'll just have to find some way to wedge thief of blood in there. Thanks for the suggestion!

I forget its name, but there is an artifact which lets you discard your hand to counter instants and sorceries, i.e. Cyclonic Rift...

Ooooh yeah, that sounds really good. Thanks SO MUCH for the suggestions, I will definitely start tuning the deck to be a lot more blue and more controlling. Going to get to it in a month or two. Thanks again and good luck in your games!
