Idea for a possible Amonkhet/Hour Of Devastation Zombie deck. So far it has been fun to play with, and it has had some good results, but it still struggles a bit against hard aggro decks (specifically my friend's U/G Energy deck with Electrostatic Pummeler and Blossoming Defense/Larger Than Life combo).
I've only have been able to get Scarab God out twice. Depending on your draws this deck can be played aggro or somewhat midrange, and it depends on what style your opponent is playing to either win fast, win slow, or lose fast.
Early Game
Try getting either Lord of the Accursed of Fan Bearer out as soon as possible, and as many as you can. An early game Fan Bearer can help a lot (as long as you don't get mana choked) to stall your opponent, and if you manage to put out several Fan Bearers getting too many mana early on is actually a blessing. Lord of the Accursed are awesome since they not only buff your other zombies but also each other, which can provide good early blocking as well. Dread Wanderer is a great card to play at any point in the game but early on is a great one cost 2 power, it is solid first turn play. Also, it's ability allows it to be as aggressive as it wants to be, and combos great latter on. Combined with a Lord of the Accursed it can be a good card to force your opponent to play.
Mid/Late Game
In the mid game, I hope to have at least one Unraveling Mummy out. If you have the mana for it, combining it's white ability with Lord of the Accursed's ability is great for recovering some health. I normally spend Grind with the pesky minions at this point, and even if you can't afford the Aftermath yet it's still a good debuff. If you've been playing more midrange, at this point you also want to start focusing on getting your Scarab God out. If you have it in your hand, I recommend waiting until you also have some low cost zombies to play after it too, or some Never//Return in your graveyard. If you have bee playing aggro, try getting out as many Wayward Servant and Plague Belcher as you can, and go full frontal. Take advantage of Dread Wanderer's ability, and you'll see your opponent's health lower pretty fast.
I appreciate any suggestions you might have, and if you get to use this deck I'd love to hear your results!
