If you like versatility and playing something different than just Tier decks, this synergy based deck might be for you. None of the cards look strong on paper, but the whole is more than the sum of its parts. Against aggro, deathtouch reachers and chump blocking help you survive until you can suit up a death toucher with a longbow, or assemble a board with the Merfolk suite plus Field Surgeon to clog up the battlefield while simultaneously building your own avalanche of Merfolk Wizards! Speaking of Field Surgeon, this oft forgotten gem is the true all star in this deck. With enough creatures, you can stop almost any kind of ground or air assault without depleting your own School of Fishfolk. The enchantment package allows for repeatable targeted removal with Crystallization and making a huge finisher with Sigil, if deemed appropriate. The recursion elements allow us to grind out against resilient control decks and keep gas coming once in top deck mode. Surgeon is pretty good against Electrickery and makes for very interactive and strategic thought provoking matches. And Bonus! Kicks a lot of rear end in Multiplayer too :) Try this skill builder and enjoy giving your opponent the privilege of playing a fresh new brew as a consolation for the trigger and math headaches!
