Wolfgang69: You do know that you can put Scion's ability twice on the stack before it resolves, right? His ability is instant speed. I do not have to wait for his ability to resolve before I use it again. That's how the stack works.

Hmm I just read up on it. You're right. It's a little op. But oh well I just thought that the whole ability had to resolve like the act of shuffling your library before anything could happen.

Wolfgang69: No worries, man. It's a discussion that comes up a lot more than you think. Yes, it's very OP.

I'm suggesting Thunderbreak Regent because he's really good! (If there were previous comments about why not to use it, I didn't see them)

Also, Sarkhan Unbroken. Chances are, you will NEVER use his ultimate. However, I think his +1 is good enough to warrant at least considering him (he's a better Jace non-asshole)

Karns_Pyromancer: Thanks for the comment and suggestions!

Sarkhan Unbroken is already up there. The only ability I use on him is his first one. Mana AND card advantage? On a +1 ability? It's too good! I wouldn't use his ultimate even if I was above 8 loyalty counters.

Thunderbreak Regent is pretty crappy in EDH, I'm afraid. 3 damage in EDH is lackluster, considering there's 40 life to play with. Regent also does not stop the spell targeting my Dragons. In otherwords, I lose a very valuable Dragon, whereas my opponent only takes 3 damage. Not a good trade off, especially for me. I'd much rather use one of my Hexproof Dragons in that scenario.

I totally agree on Thunderbreak Regent in EDH. And in your deck, like in mine, we rarely have more than a couple of dragons in play, so his ability is not so useful.

If you're going to Voltron, why not Batterskull, Swords of X&Y, or Whispersilk Cloak?

Karns_Pyromancer:

Who said anything about Voltron-ing in this deck? I simply use artifacts to ramp because it's the most mana cost efficient way to do so.

Batterskull has zero synergy with the deck. What am I going to do with a 4/4 lifelink, vigilance? Especially when I have a flying death Dragon in the form of Scion of the Ur-Dragon that can one shot players?

The Swords are equally as useless, with the exception of Sword of Feast and Famine. Swords of X & Y quickly lose their value when you realize you can kill the players outright, rather than get a small effect from your Sword.

Whispersilk Cloak is the only card I may consider running. Shroud and unblockable is worth consideration.

Sorry if I came across as rude. It annoys me greatly when someone says "You're close enough to this deck, why don't you run that deck instead?".

May 7, 2015 10:19 a.m.

It's not a problem. My mind is having trouble understanding Scion decks for some reason.

In fact, you're probably the least rude person when it comes to things I suggest for Scion.

I recommend elixir of Immortality so you can shuffle dragons back into your deck so you can continue to fuel your commander longer, also the bonus life gain.

Bawx1235: Thanks for the comment and suggestion!

Elixir of Immortality may actually be useful now, as I no longer really depend on my graveyard to win. I'll give it some thought. Thanks again.

I was just after a Maralen of the Mornsong deck...

Turn 1: land => Sol Ring => Golgari Signet

Turn 2: land => Orzhov Signet, Izzet Signet

Turn 3: Fetched Buried Alive with Maralene => Buried Worldgorger and Shivan Hellkite => Animate Dead => Infinite gorger mana => out of the loop with Shivan hellkite and killed everyone (8 people)

Now all my friends hate me...

May 9, 2015 9:14 a.m.

That'd be impressive in EDH, mate.

May 9, 2015 9:47 a.m.

Marenkai: If only Maralen of the Mornsong was more than just mono black lol. Oh well. We can keep on dreaming.

I know I've already suggested this one but it was a long time ago and your deck has changed some... it might fit better now that you are more combo oriented:

Might of the Nephilim

attack with scion wait to see what blocks (or not) then cast it on Scion for the +10/+10 then turn her into dragon tyrant or "Skittles" for the "surprise! you're dead!" jerk move.

I know you can do this with molten steel, but it costs the same amount of mana (4) and you have to pay like 10 or 12 life to activate it.

May 9, 2015 12:12 p.m.

Zer0w: Thanks for the comment. I'll consider it.

I noticed you had a Council's Judgment in the deck, and that several of your cards are foil, I have a foil Council's Judgment that I'm looking to trade away if you are interested, contact me when you can, thanks!

May 10, 2015 2:35 p.m.

Onyx_Mage: I've never traded here on TappedOut before. I don't know how the process works.

May 10, 2015 7:21 p.m.

Trading on tappedout is basically commenting on each other's trade binders to work out a deal and then initiating and sending the cards away :) is it a trade you would be interesed in?

May 11, 2015 2:33 p.m.

Onyx_Mage: I'd love a foil Council's Judgment, but I have no idea what you're looking for.

The foil is currently down, due to the pro offseason, and is currently trading at 70$ as seen here: http://www.mtgstocks.com/cards/25101 In the past it has gotten up to 130$ and it will most likely go up during this fall season when people are seeking legacy cards. So I am actually looking for about 70 Dollars in trades, but I am willing to go short on this trade. Just some random cards I'm looking for: 4 Presence of Gond, Sheoldred, the Whispering One, Thromok the Insatiable, 4 Clifftop Retreat, 4 Surgical Extraction, Increasing Confusion, Goblin Guide, Hedron Crab, Sands of Delirium, Sanity Grinding, Grindstone, Mutavault, Ib Halfheart, Goblin Tactician, Brimaz, King of Oreskos, Summoner's Pact. If you have anything else you'd like to recommend, let me know! I also collect bulk foils, little 25 cent foil commons (they round out trades so nicely).

I have no delusions of getting all of these, I'm not that kind of trader. I promise I will make your first trade on Tappedout a great experience!

May 12, 2015 11:47 a.m.

Onyx_Mage: I'll check my trade binders, see if I have any of the cards you listed.

Awesome! Comment on my personal page whenever you've found what your looking for, thank you:)
