Consider Bladewing the Risen.Has graveyard synergy, and can give a potentially massive buff.

Squirrel_of_War: I know full well it's just cardboard. But it's shiny cardboard haha! All in all, I'll be getting 3 of them. The others, i don't need so much.

Smokus_Krakus: Thanks for all the suggestions! A lot of the cards you suggested would be great in a Swarming Dragon deck. This, unfortunately, is not one. I do not try to get more Dragons out than just Scion. I am planning on making a second Scion deck, focusing on getting out Dragons and swarming.
Cards I will consider for the deck, however, are the Dragon Mage and Monastery Siege. Both are very helpful.

Hopere: Bladewing the Risen is good in Dragon swarming decks. This deck is not one.

just a question how do you add your other decks to the left?
September 29, 2016 8:05 p.m.
would the 2 drop Steely Resolve be counter productive in anyways , i think i read it wrong the first time saying dragons cant be the targets of spells or abilities, would that mean we couldnt enchant our own dragons?

MrAwesomeSocks says... #9
tkizzle: Yes, Steely Resolve makes it so even you can't target your Dragons. If you're thinking about running it, it basically, comes down to how you run the deck. It would be counterproductive for equips such as Lightning Greaves, Curiosity, and any another equips/ enchantments you might be running. If you forgo things such as these, it's 100% worth it.

im useing all the combos u suggest , everything u suggest actually, i also read your part on cutting the hexproof dragonis for cards like aceticism or whatever so this card popped back up in my mind, wasnt sure if equiping artifacts and enchant creatures counted as being the target of a spell, thanks for clarifying

only card i dont have is Mana Crypt, is there a decent alternative, or is it really that good and worth running?

MrAwesomeSocks says... #12
tkizzle: I would try out Mana Vault in place of Mana Crypt. Be careful though, as Mana Vault does not untap normally.

if you pulled the Enlightened Tutor early game what would you get with it, the combo piece or mana ramp item?

I love this deck! So much so that I am attempting to build my own version, but considering some of your combos.
That being said, can you please help me understand this combo????
Moltensteel Dragon + Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon ?
I am under the impression that Scion loses it's copy ability the rest of the turn once it has copied a dragon, so I am lost / confused / sad because I can't figure it out
Thanks in advance! And nice work!

first pump molteensteel up, sacrifice 12 life give it +6 then transform him into skittles then swing for 10 infect, the +1 counters carry over
October 6, 2016 5:45 p.m.
Archmage_Brewer: While Scion is himself, you can put his ability on the stack as many times as you can pay for. Then when each instance of the ability resolved, even though Scion losses the ability, the one's on the stack are still there.
And because it doesn't do a name check (It's just referring to "this card") it means that Scion will cycle through dragons. And then you can activate instant speed abilities between cycles.
October 6, 2016 5:56 p.m.
What tkizzle says is right. The important thing is though, that you activate scion's ability two times before he transforms for the first time and then take advantage of using activated abilities in instant speed.Looks like this:
Pay 4 mana, put scion's ability on the stack two times. (Stack: transform, transform)
First transformation to Moltensteel resolves, the other one is still on the stack. (Stack: transform)
Before the second transformation resolves, put Moltensteel's phyrexian fire breathing ability on the stack 6 times by paying 14 life. (Stack: 6x fire breathing, transform)
Then Moltensteels ability will resolve one by one (meaning you could interfere between every resolve) giving himm +6 in total and only leaving the second transformation to resolve. (Stack: transform)
Scion's second transformation triggers, transforming him into skittles while the +6/+0 from Moltensteel carries over. That means, scion is now a 10/4 skittles clone being able to win with one strike.
Hope that explains it to you in detail :)

Mirrorwing dragon over quicksilvers dragon? Seems like a no brainer
October 13, 2016 12:21 a.m.
MrAwesomeSocks says... #20
tkizzle: Unfortunately, that doesn't work the way you think it does. Mirrorwing Dragon's ability triggers upon cast, not resolution. Say an opponent casts Murder on Scion of the Ur-Dragon. In response, you transform Scion into Mirrorwing Dragon. Because Murder was already cast before Scion becomes Mirrorwing, it's ability never triggers and you have a dead Scion.

My favorite dragon combo: Savage Ventmaw + Hellkite Charger. Get continuous attack phases for (plus the you get from Ventmaw)
October 13, 2016 10:38 a.m.
there is a few combos peop[le have showed me that arent in here, i like that one too, I just think this deck has alot of removal and utility cards with about 4 combos to win the game its hard to swap any cards out at this point
October 13, 2016 10:51 a.m.
keep loseing 4 player pods, i feel like i start out the hottest then get ganged up on, any strategy i should follow. maybe kill one person then another instead of splitting up my attacks?

tkizzle: Sounds to me like you're attacking JUST to attack. Scion of the Ur-Dragon has a lot better things to be doing than swinging at opponents for measly damage.
You have the capability to wipe a single player off the board using Moltensteel Dragon + Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon . Use it! If you're splitting up attacks, make sure the attacks count. If it's a blue deck, use Nicol Bolas to discard their hand. Opponent running a bunch of mana dorks? Wipe them with Balefire Dragon. Every attack is meant to be crippling in this deck. Use the correct Dragon to wreak havoc on your opponent's board position. Don't waste your attacks just to get damage.

I can see you've spent a huge amount of time on your deck, and you're probably mostly settled on what you want but here have some suggestions (they can't hurt)
