remeiko: I'm glad I can hopefully inspire someone else with my deck. I'm not sure which Dragons I'm going to add from the new set yet. So much fun stuff to play with! It will be hard to decide. I know I'll be doing a lot of playtesting haha.

Thanks for your comment!

Zer0w: Credit Voucher is interesting, as it allows me to essentially draw out my deck twice if I use it after my Curiosity + Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind combo.

Of course, having Curiosity makes Keen Sense a bit redundant.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll be sure to try it out.

I don't believe the interaction with Keiga, the Tide Star and Destructor Dragon works the way you have envisioned. The command zone effect is a replacement effect where you can choose to move your commander into the command zone instead of the graveyard, but you can't let it go to the graveyard first and then go to the command zone. In other words, if you let Scion of the Ur-Dragon die as a copy of either Keiga, the Tide Star or Destructor Dragon to get the death trigger, then Scion will be stuck in your graveyard and you won't be able to recast him from your command zone without some kind of reanimation/graveyard exile effect. This is the same reason why people who play with Child of Alara as a Commander need to run graveyard effects; you can't get the death trigger and then have your Commander go back to the command zone. So unless you are consistently letting Scion stay in the graveyard when he dies, I might reconsider running these two cards. Lots of cool synergies in the deck though, keep up the good work! :)

Redundant means twice the chance you get the combo. Then when you use the combo you have a 99% chance of drawing into credit voucher as long as you have 4 mana open you can deal all of that damage again. Basically you win for 7 mana with a 1 card+Scion combo. It is the best one out there IMO. If you find a better card then credit voucher let me know 4 mana is a bit high. Oh lastly, credit voucher is actually good(ish) outside of the combo, tuck 3 dragons from your hand and draw 3 new cards.

Dragon2559:

You're right in your analysis that those abilities won't trigger by sending Scion to the command zone. However, I rarely ever send Scion back to the command zone once he's been cast. There's plenty of ways to get Scion back onto the battlefield or back into my hand. Thanks for the comment though!

Zer0w: I'd rather have a tutor in place of a second card that did the same thing.

I love Credit Voucher, just wish it didn't need to sacrifice itself.

So I just found out that the link to my deck takes you to some other outdated deck with the same name, I've changed my decks name to How to train yo-Ur-Dragon. as I mentioned before I've spent a lot of time on it and it is very good. It does run differently then yours but it may have some other good ideas for you, if you havent seen it take a quick look. I know I've got some good ideas from your deck and given you a + 1.

Also Credit Voucher is a totally lame card so it is cool that there is a use for it. and frankly a really good use! even though you have to sac it it really should casue you to win the game so no harm there. when you use it you deal about 80 more damage, provided firemind is out there.

$3000, wow, guess what I'm not getting for my birthday. Like the deck a lot though, +1 to the man with seventy-somethin comments.

experimentalmyrv: Thanks for the comment and +1! My deck is mostly expensive due to the ABUR duals, fetches, and foils in the deck (especially Mr. Jace, the Mind Sculptor in there haha).

If you'd like, I could make a budget list that would be less impacting on the wallet (a tad bit less consistent though).

JarruktheMindslayer: Thanks for the comment! I plan on analyzing everything in DTK and adding in what I think is viable. I'm almost certain Dragon Tempest will make the cut.

Have you considered Haven of the Spirit Dragon from Dragons of Tarkir?

March 29, 2015 10:33 a.m.

TRX999: Thanks for the comment! I'll eventually be evaluating all the cards in Dragons of Tarkir. I've currently been busy with life. I do like the Haven of the Spirit Dragon though. We'll see if it makes the cut.

Have you considered Dragonlord Silumgar & Dragonlord Dromoka?

April 6, 2015 2:37 p.m.

Poptartz95: Thanks for the comment! I am doubtful about the inclusion of any of the new Elder Dragons, with the exception of Dragonlord Ojutai because of its hexproof ability. In terms of Dragonlord Silumgar, ETB effects don't do much for me, considering I rarely ever cast Dragons from my hand. Dragonlord Dromoka might be considered for its Silence-like effect.

Oh ya Dragonlord Ojutai forgot that one XD ya I think Dragonlord Dromoka & maybe Dragonlord Ojutai could do well, Dragonlord Silumgar could be brutal against certain decks, such as mine XD stealing my Avacyn, Angel of Hope would just crush my face

Got a Ur-dragon EDH too. Really like the Mycosynth Lattice + Hellkite Tyrant combo!! I will steal it. ;)

Considering the Invasion dragons, I will just keep Dromar, the Banisher. His bounce effect can really disrupt the oppo's strategy. The same go for Warmonger Hellkite: not all the creatures are supposed to attack. And, if u want to be sure to do dmg to the life, what's better of Bower Passage? Forgestoker Dragon can works too.

If you want, check it: Ur-Dragon's legacy

April 11, 2015 1:07 p.m.

KoriAne: Thanks for the comment! You can steal my ideas all you want lol.

I'm not a big fan of the Invasion/ Planar Chaos dragons. If I'm spending 5 mana when I attack, someone better be dead or badly crippled. I do like Numot, the Devastator, however, since it can ruin someone's mana base, effectively taking someone out of the game until I can come back and kill them later.

Warmonger Hellkite also seems a bit unnecessary in my deck, as I rarely have multiple attackers out in play at once. My deck is more of a "Swing with Scion of the Ur-Dragon and transform" deck, rather than a "Cast all the dragons and swing" deck.

I do like Bower Passage. I'll see if I can make space for it. Forgestoker Dragon, on the other hand, is expensive in its ability and requires that I already be attacking while transformed as it. That severely limits my attacking options.

Again, thanks for the comment and suggestions. They are always appreciated!

Be aware, the Warmonger Hellkite is to be used for the "all creatures attack ability": you make the opponent attack with all the creatures, and kill the little ones. And Dromar, the Banisher is the only one that can disrupt some oppo's combo, like Avacyn, Angel of Hope + Kaalia of the Vast . It depends from your meta, of course.

I agree, the Forgestoker Dragon is expensive in his ability, but is the only one that can help you hitting the opponent: you can trasfrom the scion 2 time while attacking, use his ability as the first one resolve, than make the second one resolves and make he became, let say, a Balefire Dragon. ;)

Since you intend to kill by commander damage, then Gratuitous Violence would be good mostly because you get to kill them twice as fast.

Oblation and Chaos Warp are not as good anymore with the new anti tuck rule... kinda lame. But all in all I understand why they changed it. loosing you commander for the rest of the game kinda kills then fun.
