Maybeboard

For the most part its a fairly straight forward Scion of the Ur-Dragon deck. I like to operate like the graveyard, in terms of creatures, is working like an extension of my hand. There are a few nasty combos in the deck that are worth mentioning as either a semi or full win condition. A bunch of flavor is packed in here, lots of dragon-tribal between creatures, instants/sorceries, and even planeswalkers that act towards giving the player the advantage of boardstate.

Two Scion activations into Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon + Moltensteel Dragon

So this combo is a nice pump swing combo to take a player out if you have an opening. Once Scion is sitting pretty on your side of the field, activate his ability 2x; resolve the first to pitch MOLTENSTEEL DRAGON first! This is important. With the second ability on the stack, activate PseudoSteel Dragon's ability to pump up to above 10 power using either mana or life (using this combo with life as the mana resource makes it go quicker, but dont discount potentially using other mana sources either late game.) THEN resolve the second Scion ability to pitch Skittles to the yard. Steel's pumped up power is still there, so swinging in for a potential lethal poison with PseudoSkittles can be a game-ender in 1v1 or a way to forward your multiplayer agenda.

Scion + X amount of dragons + Patriarch's Bidding

This is amazing late game. Even if you dont use Scion to chomp through some viable dargons ^(TM) sending them to the yard, you'll see a bunch of these viscious big nasties hit the yard sooner or later. If you have the fortune to see Utvara Hellkite and/or card:Karrthus,Tyrant of Jund, then Bidding your dargons back from the yard can let you swing and still leave some token homies home to save you from some potential backlash.

Scion + Tyrant's Familiar

From what I can tell, making Scion a copy of another creature DOESN'T undermine his title as commander. If you happen to find yourself in a position to have some fast 7 mana (Rainbow +2), you can drop Scion, activate the nom-nom ability and send Familiar to the yard. PseudoFamiliar is now a 7//7 with haste and a dig bick to swing out 7 dmg when he attacks. YAY FOR REMOVAL!! WHOOOOO

Scion + Steel Hellkite

Its no fun playing M:tG without being able to blow up whatever you want to kingdom come, thats where Steel Hellkite comes to town. Pitch SHkite to the yard and you have potential boardwipe on a steek for a turn. Bump off those pesky tokens fo free! Burninate your opponents weenies for cheep or shatter a few artifacts/enchantments. The possibilities are almost endless

Scion + Whip of Erebos

This one is kind of a no brainer, but its worth mentioning anyway. Whip can dig you out of a tight spot or keep you from living in a van down by the river with just its lifelink, BUT if you ever pitch a friend youre not quite ready to part with, let Scion nom-nom to the yard and whip him back for an encore to give 'em the ol' 1,2 punch.

Utvara + Dragon Tempest or Scourge of Valkas (or both for maximum burnination!!)

Scion isnt the only party aminal ^(TM) here, Uts and Valky love get schwifty too. Uts brings the bros, Valky or Dempest bring the pain. Whether you wanna drop a bomb on a creature or to someones face, these guys get the job done.

Scion + Yosei, the Morning Star

Whelp, you done it now.....you got yourself into a tight spot, but you dont have to go down with out a fight. Grab Yosei and pitch him to the yard and make your opponent pay for kicking your bro out. Kokusho, the Evening Star is a viable option as well if you're hurting on life, or Ryusei, the Falling Star if you're getting swamped on your ground game.

To be entirely honest, I've played both 1v1 and multiplayer without even bringing Scion in to grind some dargons out to the yard, so this doesn't necessarily need him to work. That being said though, he definitely brings all the boys to the yard a lot faster if you do.

I've got a maybe board on the side, mainly because my play group likes to screw with me a little, so I've got some switch hitters for rainy days.

My acquireboard is just that, stuff I wouldnt mind having, but needless to say, I've made this deck with what I have physically. I'd like to put a few things in here when I win the lottery......someday. In the meantime, I can always burninate with what I have on hand.
