Shut down your opponent. Watch them squirm. This is an intriguing deck that has evolved much over the years. History lesson later. Let's get into this.

There are many ways to go about Magic but winning a games typically comes in one of three ways. 1) Damage, whether targeting us or beatdowns by creatures. The most common way to beat opponents us to get their life total at or below zero. 2) Decking, via mill strategies or very slow control. Get the opponent to draw on an empty deck. 3) Alternate win conditions, which was even more negligible of a concern until Thassa's Oracle was printed. This deck is looking to take apart the function of its opposition and leave it stumbling until we can swoop in for a knockout blow.

Modern is in a strange place where the top aggro decks are running counters, the top control decks are led by Delighted Halfling, and the top combo decks are incorporating tokens of some kind. This deck has been under heavy pressure even since the printing of Leyline Binding to go with Prismatic Ending. We have Griefs and Molten Collapse, Refrains and Change the Equations. Enchantments may have gotten. Sterling Grove but the rest of the format is in a much different place. Binding and Ending, aided by the Triomes, have warped decks to splash just for the removal. And non-white and non-green decks have gotten more pieces against the deck. After not playing for a while but looking in, I can see the format is in a very hostile place for such a deck.
