You should add Revoke Existence when it comes out so you can deal with Burning Earth more efficiently than Swan Song .

@BoromirOfGondor I haven't seen any RDW in my local meta, and I'm not too worried about a 4-drop enchantment when I often end games with over 20 life.

-3 [ [ Spell Rupture ] ] you cant afford to sit back and be reactive you need to be deploying multiple auras every turn. Also add in 1 more [ [ Witchstalker ] ] best creature in the deck. I'd really reccomend [ [ Ascended Lawmage ] ] not the best but not bad at all. Hero of Iroas is a good engine card but really bad when you have to enchant him hes a little too cute

I think Daxos of Meletis is great in this shell because he has built in evasion (can't get blocked by demons, dragons, gods, or cat kings). Another late game bomb is Ghostblade Eidolon . Drop him late and even if the opponent edicts you, you get to build up the battleship on a doublestriker again (any of the cheaper bestow creatures would also do a lot of work, but I like this one best and it looks amazing in foil). I don't love Ordeal of Thassa because it doesn't stick around to add up your Ethereal Armor count

@soulsoar11 Daxos is doesn't have enough base power and toughness nor any built in protection. I am also running 9 cards that give evasion, 3 that give trample, 4 that give first strike and 3 that give pseudo evasion, so I'm not really in need of a 2/2 for 3 with evasion. I'm also not hard up for lifegain.
Ghostblade is simply too expensive. I'm running Ajani, Caller of the Pride already, and arguably even Fireshrieker is better, since it also sticks around and costs 1 less total mana. While it might survive an edict, by the time I would get it out (turn 5 at the earliest, probably 8-9) I should already have won.
Ordeal of Thassa leaves behind +1/+1 counters, and I am desperately in need of good draw spells in this deck.

This is a nice deck as well, I think the Smiters should be mainboarded, but other then that, I don't really know what else to include,

Magiclover318 what would you take out for the Smiters? The Alpha Authority here as well?

It's been a while since I have looked at this deck. It has come a long ways. Have you considered Ready / Willing as a potential protection from board wipes like Supreme Verdict , Anger of the Gods , and Mizzium Mortars ? Especially since you couldn't run Rootborn Defenses without tokens out on the field
March 13, 2014 2:56 p.m.
@alchemist4533 I rarely have more than 1 or two creatures out at a time. I feel that Mending Touch is a much better protection against Supreme Verdict and it's ilk than Ready or Rootborn Defenses, especially since it requires much less mana.
Side note: Rootborn Defenses does not target with it's populate effect, so it can be cast even if you have no tokens on the field.

Ah, If you don't plan on having many creatures out at a time, then I can't disagree with you.
I guess I read the Rootborn Defenses
ruling incorrectly on gatherer then. "4/15/2013 If you control no creature tokens when you populate, nothing will happen." I guess the wording means the "populate" won't work, but the rest of the spell would resolve. I should have read this more carefully, that is a great help to my token deck.
Awesome deck though. I have really enjoyed watching it evolve.

Soul Tithe : It can enchant more than just creatures and it sort of works as a "counter spell." By that I mean it takes up their mana so they can't just ignore it and cast whatever they want. They have to make a choice: pay the cost (keeping the permanent for a turn) and not cast their Zombie Apocalypse , or lose their permanent and use their Martial Coup . Also them paying the cost comes at the beginning of their upkeep, if they draw a card before paying the cost then basically they have to sac it because they (without knowing) refused to pay the (3). Also worth noting is that it dodges regenerate and indestructible.

I would reduce the amount of scry lands you use. You need more land that enters untapped. I suggest two of each scry land, and 4 basic lands. But +1
