Skaab Ruinator was in my maybe board for a long time, but i decided it was a little counter intuitive to what i want this deck to do. this build works best when the graveyard is as full with creatures as possible, and the cost of exiling creatures for skaab just goes too far in the wrong direction. he is a good body for a flying blocker in a pinch, but im not really hurting for flying blockers what with birds and fairies and spiders. Skaab is great for more reanimation type strategies, but sorta goes against the big-graveyard-payoff im going for. thanks for the suggestion though :)

I definitely agree with you CaptSillva, sidisi is great for this deck. I throw sidisi in the casual version of this deck, but its mana cost and color weight is just too slow to be competitive. By the time I get to 4-mana production, I'm already doing more powerful things than just starting a zombie token generator.
But for real, sidisi is great and I really appreciate the suggestion.

So I liked the deck, but I have my own opinions on turn 2 self mill- and they usually don't involve Nyx Weaver. Here's my thoughts Screams from the Fallen copy.

Yeah, early on in this decks history I relied on nyx weaver a lot more than I do now. Its main purpose these days is simply graveyard retrieval in case I over-mill some crucial cards. The reason I prefer it over den protector or eternal witness is because I largely dont need retrieval most games and the spider has a lot of other versatility with milling and reaching and triggering constellation.
Its awesome that you like the deck and are working on your own version though :D ill check it out when I have a minute.

Oboro, Palace in the Clouds for guaranteed landfall every turn?

Oh sweet denijsx90, you're right! I knew about that card too, but it never clicked. Gotta keep the island for Blood Moon though, but the land base can go for some tweaking.

If you have time could you give me input on my counter deck Toad sage? Id appreciate it.

Undergrowth Scavenger since his +1 counters trigger on enter the battlefield he would be less impacted by graveyard hate. just tossing him out there since i was in a commander game once and it came down to a nighthowler and my scavenger on the board both extremely large but once a player was eliminated i took the game from him

Nemesis of Mortals also an interesting card i just remember it from standard rotation

Oh boy frogkill45, I do enjoy both those cards, but Undergrowth Scavenger and Nemesis of Mortals don't have have any evasion like trample or flying or anything to prevent chump blocks. It's the same reason I'm not running Boneyard Wurm or Ghoultree. I can see the argument for the scavenger, but if the opponent's gravehate wins out, then the typical choice of action is to sub out the aggro and sub in an opponent mill strat from the sideboard which, admittedly, needs some tweaking but it can be pretty brutal.

Look up green legendary enchantment artifacts - you may find it useful for this deck- +1!!!

CrazyGood-MTG9797, I've considered a bunch of good enchantments for this build like Oath of Nissa, Wreath of Geists, and yes, Bow of Nylea too. the big problem with all of them is that they get milled into my own graveyard all too often and become dead cards.
The reason Strength from the Fallen makes the cut is largely because it is a tricky win-con for my opponents to work around when used in conjunction with my enchantment creatures Nighthowler and Renowned Weaver, and the rest of this build's creature-based strategy. Wreath of Geists works well as an alternative to strength from the fallen, but even when running a few of each, i just don't like the distribution of card types for when I'm trying to mill creatures into the graveyard; for consistency, i want to keep the creature ratio as high as possible. that said, an early Strength from the Fallen or Wreath of Geists cuts the required number of creatures in the graveyard in half for a single lethal turn, so it's obviously a relevant include.
Bow of Nylea is versatile, but it just doesnt seem to have any relevant activation modes for this build. it gets a +1/+1 counter which is okay, 2 dmg to a flying creature which is inconsistently relevant, gains 3 life which i guess can add up, or bottoms some cards from my graveyard which is the opposite of what i want to do. the deathtouch is nice but id rather have it on defense on board as a deterrent, on offense it gives the opponent a warning and they can work around it or use the information to decide their removal.
I like the card, but it just doesnt mesh in too well with this build. thank you for the suggestion though, i do appreciate it.

CthulhusNo1FavCultist, I'm pretty sure the shaman is banned, right? It's better hate against my main board than in it I'd think, but it would be pretty good in the side board or as an alt for birds of paradise. But the other thing about birds to consider is the fact that it has flying which makes it a good target for a Nighthowler or Strength from the Fallen.
I'm pretty sure deathrite shaman is banned anyways though, but thanks for offering up the suggestion, I really do appreciate any input.
