I like where this is going, although If you want to scry, I'd suggest Omenspeaker over Prescient Chimera . Even though Precious will give you more triggers, Omen is better early game, and has a fairly solid butt. For beef, I'd also suggest Frostburn Weird over Deathbellow Raider . Frostburn is an excellent early game block, and can swing for four later on. I'd suggest 3 Frosts and 3 Omenspeaker. I'd also put Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius as a competitor with Shipbreaker Kraken , although they'd both serve an excellent purpose as a bomb/utility.

@Typhon01 I do like the idea of Frostburn Weird over Deathbellow Raider , but Prescient Chimera provides good evasion, and i do need at least one flyer to block with.

25 lands isn't necessary with most of your curve stopping at 3..try 23 lands

I feel like the deck could use some draw power. Your only ways to draw more cards are Niv-Mizzet and Ordeal of Thassa, and they both take some investment. Some mix of Opportunity , Thoughtflare and Steam Augury could really help when you stall out.

How about Prognostic Sphinx ? He's a good source of repeated scry, and is very hard to kill. Kraken is cool, but is very expensive and can be chumped when you don't have an Aqueous Form .

@quilly i think you are definitely right about Prognostic Sphinx over Kraken, but what should I swap out for draw power? Maybe Stealer of Secrets ?

I'd try Thoughtflare for now (make sure to keep extra land in hand to discard!), and see how that is. It's pretty serious filter power. Steam Augury is pretty fun too, but it's not great for combo-esque decks like this one seems to be.

how could you not add scry lands???

@Dreno33 There are no R/U scry lands in standard yet. having a land come in tapped isn't worth it to me if it isn't even in the right colors.

Chandra, Pyromaster might be worth considering as her 0: works really well with scry

I just started running a deck similar to yours. I've found that Dissolve doesn't really work for the aggressiveness of Flamespeaker Adept . Even though it is providing a scry, most of the time players are casting creatures during their second main. I also use 4 Spellheart Chimera . Ive dropped two at 7/3 for 3 on turn 6. With the lack of flying defense, they are quite powerful.

I also don't run any enchantments, but that's because I like the bonuses I get from instants pumping flamespeaker. Titan's Strength is godly.

I also run 2 Temple of Mystery . Think Thassa scrys, temple drops and scrys, sphinx attacks and scrys, titan's strength on flamespeaker with a scry. Flamespeaker is in for 13 first strike. Game winning 18 if a second strength is dropped. All done with 2 mana that turn.

+1 though, I like it. Adding a Niv-mizzet to mine now.

@Sarfix i really like these suggestions. ill swap Spellheart Chimera for Dissolve , Ordeal of Thassa for Titan's Strength ,and Aqueous Form for something like Rapid Hybridization .
