I actually really like this deck idea. I'm not a big blue/red player but this deck definitely looks interesting. The low price of the deck and the fact that I have or can easily acquire most of these cards makes it that much better. As for improvements, I can't think of any off the top of my head but I am definitely considering building this deck for fun. +1

Thank you very much d3ATHxK1NG! I can't wait for Born of the Gods to arrive so I can pick up the rest of the cards I need.

Feel free to pull from my version of this deck I started a few weeks ago, I feel as nivix cyclops, and guttersnipe are amazing for this deck, and through playtesting it just reinforces that. also, using 4x Quicken for Armed is totally worth it so that if your opponet decides not to block, you boost flamespeaker up one more and get double strike. = gg

I personally don't like Fated Infatuation. In fact, I would remove it completely, especially since you're playing two colors, this card would probably not be easy to play until the very late game. I would consider running Shock in its place to help deal with aggro decks, otherwise you'll be taking a good 10 or so damage until you can finally get a creature out on turn 3, even with Voyages End or Magma Jet trying to stall. Consider adding 4x Young Pyromancer to give yourself some early game board presence

I would also drop a Dissolve, exchange Mizzium Skin for Triton Tactics , and switch out Nullify for Essence Scatter so you can more reliably counter a creature on turn two.

I run a similar Izzet burn deck, and I find Frostburn Weird to be an extremely good early blocker. He fills your empty 2 drop slot and gives you the time you need to get your mana up and your Flamespeaker Adept online and ready to go. Spellheart Chimera is also viable with the amount of sorceries and instants you throwing around. It can get pretty powerful pretty quickly, and in my own experience its not uncommon to see a Chimera with 10+ power. It allows you to deal with flying creatures without using your precious scrys. With any luck Keranos will bless us with the ability to deal player damage upon scrying, which would make your deck a powerhouse. Looks like a fun deck overall, my burn deck will most likely transform into something similar when RtR leaves us.

@ samuraizack: Young Pyromancer looks pretty sweet. I think it will replace my Meletis Charlatan . I'm going to take out Nullify for the Essence Scatter you suggested. Thank you so much!

@cerealkyra: Frostburn Weird looks very useful. I'll definetly keep it on the Sideboard for use against aggro decks! Spellheart Chimera is going to be my go to guy once RtR is retired. Excellent choices! Thanks alot!

Cyclonic Rift instead of Voyage's End sure it doesnt have scry but its so much more useful

@volrathy Voyage's End Can also be used as an ability if your creature get passified, so you can bounce it back to your hand and you can keep that creature.

I use it in my flamespeaker deck for this reason over cyclonic Rift

What about Thassa, God of the Sea? It's the best way to scry all day long. :)

Thassa is a fantastic card. As soon as money comes in, she's definetly an option!

So, if this is a scry deck, I would definitely say use the scry lands... Also Thassa, God of the Sea can be quite incredible. Sigiled Starfish is equally quite interesting and useful.
