I agree about populating the tokens created from Seance because they wouldn't be exiled at end of turn. Also, I'd probably go Restoration Angel or more Cloudshift s. Also might be a bit slow, but I guess the idea is to throw Elvish Visionary and Gatecreeper Vine s out to get mana and card draw and chump block until you get enough mana and Supreme Verdict before you start dropping your bigger creatures. Also, maybe it's just me, but I'd not like missing out on half the usability of Forbidden Alchemy .
Good ETB cards and decent removal though.

I would take our Cloudshift or crackling for a full set Seance . Also i would run 4 Forbidden Alchemy and i would also run Thought Scour . Mill your self for 2 and draw a card.

While I see the use of Cloudshift for your hardcast creatures, I was under the impression that tokens, once exiled, couldn't reenter the battlefield, but simply ceased to be. I agree with AGrimes on replacing Cloudshift with a populate mechanic, since the populate would achieve the same purpose I think you're trying to achieve, with generally a bit of something extra (pure populate card nonexistent). It won't be as cheap, but it will be recurring if you were to choose Growing Ranks or it could set up some nasty asymmetrical boardwipes with Rootborn Defenses (eyes Supreme Verdict )...
However, I can also appreciate this deck running in the direction you've chosen for it. My only suggestion on that note might be card:Geralf's Mindcrusher.

I would run 1 Mirror-Mad Phantasm and 1 Laboratory Maniac to combo out with seance.

Does anyone know of a current way in standard to return a milled Seance to your hand other than Creeping Renaissance ?

Codex Shredder and Treasured Find
Make a Wish potentially

Hmmm...but not if they get milled themselves....unless you're using Trading Post or Snapcaster Mage for Treasured Find .
I'm basically looking for a way to have a Forbidden Alchemy type of effect in addition to so I can "draw" to Seance but not mill it

I thought about that such as Increasing Ambition but that means splashing a 4th color. Guess I'll just stick to drawing and Forbidden Alchemy

Adding something that gives any color mana would help Axebane Guardian or even Mana Bloom plus then you'd get use of the flashback on Forbidden Alchemy .

Okay so I've updated it a bit. I've also decided in going with Increasing Ambition and going 5 colors. What do you guys think?
Gatecreeper Vine can serve to grab ANY of the guildgates that I need as well as a basic land if that's all I need at the time. Most games nowadays are staying away from "aggro" and moving to more midrange/control so I think this is a good metagame move for me.
I can also build a sideboard to help deal with aggro stuff if needed

I've tried a similar route before, it hasn't been updated as it has proven to be worthless in a competitive environment, but here's my decklist if it can be of some help to you: Séance de Ouija.
I've took a more Rites-ish routes tho. It's a fun casual deck but hardly competitive. I'd personally try to abused a bit more of the tokens so that stuff from Seance stick around.
Also remember that you can use it on you opponent turn to disturb some of their plans

Misthollow Griffin , you get a steady stream of chump blockers or just consistent damage through

@Azure124:
I had thought about that but couldn't find room for it. any suggestions on what to take out?
May 8, 2013 10:01 a.m.
I'm suprised you only have 1 token producer, and 1 populate card in a deck built around making a single, really cool token each turn. Also, you could replace Think Twice for Alchemist's Apprentice for card drawing speedbump.

The Think Twice is "double insurance" to draw a card after I combo off with Mirror-Mad Phantasm and Laboratory Maniac . I can draw in response to them trying to remove Laboratory Maniac since I'll have my mana untapped BEFORE he hits the field.
I don't think that Misthollow Griffin is worth removing a Thragtusk for. 'tusk is one of the BEST creatures in standard right now (not to mention gives me 2 effects when he comes in and then leaves the field)

You should really run something with populate. Because all of the creatures you have are tokens with seance. So why not copy them, that way you can keep them on the board and still have there EBT effects.
