I tried the original and it was a bit... inconsistent to say the least. I decided to go ahead and put it into a bit more of a control shell, adding in black for access to Unburial Rites and kill spells. I also added Grand Architect to balance out the negative effects of the summoning and give me access to some nice artifact beaters. Since I don't really care about having my own field wiped, I decided to up my board-wipe count (I can always just bring Misthollow Griffin back anyway next turn). Alchemist's Refuge came in with Hinterland Harbor to fuel it, letting me pay to bring back the griffin with flash if I need an extra blocker or something. Mikaeus, the Unhallowed acts as both a means of keeping my things alive and of killing off those pesky Delver of Secrets
Flip. I used to use Heartless Summoning, but the cheaper costs weren't worth bringing my griffins down to 2/2s. I now use Favorable Winds and it seems to be working much better.
When I get around to making a sideboard, I'm thinking of building it so that I can actually side out and make this an entirely different deck, probably more Heartless Summoning oriented.
Any ideas on how I could make this better? I need them, because I can't say I'm much of a control player, honestly...
